Deep in the Southern Appalachian Mountains, a wooden box containing classified government documents from 1897 reveals disturbing accounts of supernatural encounters. Two separate testimonies – one from a tribal hunter called Running Stone and another from a young tribal member named Silent River – describe encounters with mysterious beings that appeared almost human but transformed into terrifying creatures under the full moon. These beings, with their pale skin, unusually large blue eyes, and strange movements, were found near ancient stone structures and peculiar markings throughout the mountains.
The government’s involvement in studying these creatures remained hidden for decades, as researchers documented hundreds of caves and underground passages where traces of an inexplicable dark substance were found. The evidence of these beings persists today in the form of ancient rock structures and pre-Colombian mounds, including an 850-foot stone wall in Fort Mountain State Park, Georgia. While their true nature remains unknown, the tribal warnings continue – cautioning against venturing too deep into the mountains during the full moon, where something still lurks in the darkness, waiting and watching from the shadows between what we know and what we fear to understand.

The Original Werewolf Accounts.. But the Dog men can not speak.
Sorry Lilith this comment is NOT directed at you, rather who ever shared this story, specifically the descriptions of the creature. I believe I have a great imagination, that said for some reason I could Not picture this creature for anything!
Never have I heard so many descriptions of a creature, and yet descriptions failed miserably in painting a clear, vivid picture of what this brave Native American, Running Stone is looking at with eyes???
If you pictured an image of this creature with the various convoluted descriptions given… please share what you it is you see with your mind’s eyes… please? Or maybe I’m just too tired…
Good imagination

I cant help but think these things shape shift, cause where do they go and where do they come from?
I person that does that wont tell it cause if they do they'll be hunted and killed IMHO, secrecy is important IMHO,
Reason I'm saying this is cause I saw one, and my mind just would not let me think I was seeing that thing. I was driving and didnt think 2 times about it till these later years. So where did it go?? I came down the same road and didn't see it coming back, didnt even think anything farther for a long time,, If they was here in their forms more people would see them IMHO cause this thing wasn't hiding///
I’ve always seen orange orbs here in WV
Sounds like werewolves from mars.
these creatures are all over north America , residing in underground caves, tunnels , sewage tunnels, and forests. there is plenty of footage on youtube. They are super fast , and agile , and deadly
Lots of misinformation about these cryptids. Dreads are losing there touch. What a shame…
Not a fan of having others read the stories…. your VOICE is what makes the stories interesting and worth listening to.
Thanks Lilith.. the images were pretty easy to look up, actually! Not something I want on my bucket list for sure!😊
