Do you think they're still going to release the hero version from the kickstarter at retail. I backed just the base pledge figuring it would be cheaper to get the hero one at retail, but now I'm not sure it will hit retail, and also not sure this version will be compatible with the kickstarter version 🙁
When the shipping cost gets close to the game price then I'm not surprised backer numbers are down – once I looked at UK shipping I was out (even before I added on 20% VAT).
Hi KoA, would suggest to look into a Game "Company of Heroes 2nd Edition", they currently run a KS Campaign, don’t know, if you know the first Edition? But I thought, you might like this one. But I don’t know what you would think of the Miniatures, cause that’s your expertise, I don’t know much about this topic. I discovered this Game a few days ago, and was flashed by Gameplay’s and Components, the terrain is huge and wonderful and even tactical! Also the inserts and strategy Gameplay even with 4 v 4 Players, if you see some videos. I would love to hear your thoughts and comments on this one… Keep on Rocking!
Umbrella Academy has a lot of pros going for it. Nice art, some cool minis, easy setup, very streamlined, good value. The gameplay looks way too light though, and not very varied.
7,5" ist NOT 750mm. That would be over 2 Feet. 1" is 25.4mm so the hight is 190,5mm
There're a lot of cyberpunk type games right now. This doesn't look special. Cyberpunk always paled compared to fantasy games.
The retail only Marvel Zombicide. This is what is shipping with the core Marvel Zombicide, and why only the core, without the stretch goals. It was obvious they had something coming out with the core.
I'm confused about the gaint mini. 7.5 inches or 750 mm? Because 750 mm would be like 30 inches

Just a thought, of course, but the (relatively speaking) lack of success for Cyberpunk may end up contributing to a big launch like Death May Die Season 3. CMON knows the demand for it, and I think it may be a way to win back some reputation that was lost in recent projects. I know they've had it on their mind for awhile, they probably have some plan mapped out if they are to ressurrect the game content. It's an Ace in their back pocket. Let's see it!
Makes sense because SpinMaster controls the retail distribution and a $120+ game isn't their norm. Most of their games are priced for mass market and retailers like Target where the price is $30-60 avg. It's also supposed to be little easier to get into, instead of a massive 40 page rulebook and huge tile map, it's smaller, the abilities are simplified, etc. We went all in with Galactus anyways so no big for us but we this as a good move to get newer gamers into Zombicide.
Got to say that Marvel Zombies game looks like a counterfeit version of marvel zombies.

I figured the Umbrella Academy game was not doing well because the previous Kickstarter card game was so bad. I was excited about the previous one until it arrived, and now I'm being more cautious. I still like the UA ip, but this game looks like an ugly Marvel United.

The thing i dont like about CMON is that retail feels like 50% of content, because how much they are locking behinds ks exclusives. And i really would like to back all of the games, but i dont have the money. Also i'm from Poland and most of my friends don't know english enough to understand complex board games in that language. So i won't back CMON games mostly because of language and when they are translated some time later i get only half the content and if i really like the game i have to hunt for ks exclusives on second hand market.
The collaboration between Mantic with Riverhorse worries me. I had a bad experience with the Dark Crystal boardgame. The board also wasn’t what I was looking forward to. I would have preferred a board that is immersive perhaps even with scenery pieces.

If the Marvel zombie leak is real then is a good thing, not everyone likes minis, so they can get to enjoy the game still. I'm happy with getting the KS version because I love minis and hate meeples and standees, so more options it's always a good thing.

I was honestly confused about the Umbrella Academy game – needed to search for the old one to confirm that they are indeed different games…
Due to Putin, I've chosen not to support any Kickstarters this year besides CMON games have a tendency to "take off" into "FOMO land" really fast, saving up for when WWII starts at the end of the year – ammo isn't cheap..
I backed at $1 because I was unsure due to the high price and then the shipping cost I was out, which made me sad but it was just too expensive. I've got 8 billion Marvel United minis to paint anyways. But now I'm stoked to see this heroes box come to retail. I wouldn't be surprised if we got the OG minis from the actual game considering you just get minis for the heroes, so it's probably like 4-6 minis in that box and then standees for everyone else.
