  1. That was a perfect game for Luke hard hitting and slow pace would have been great for his confidence . Now I can see that from here where is this coach's head at ? Losing faith in him rapidly

  2. No, Nick, Brock Nelson did not come back to the game. He probably has a concussion, thank you very much. But you were right about the Martin-Acciari fight. Total obligation to make him pay for that probably dirty hit into the boards on Nelson.

  3. The 1960’s Leaf curse has not been lifted yet – on those current Leafs who believe in curses. Players do respect former Leafs & feel for them in many ways. What is in the minds of the Leafs & players often come to Toronto and start becoming more “Leaf Like”. Bruins & Tampa & other NHL city fans – just love watching the existing Leaf team with predictable regular & playoff outcomes. We like how the Leafs don’t know what their lineups should be. It is fun & interesting.

  4. Better than the score? what a lame comment. Losing happens, not showing up is unacceptable. Buf, Chi, Mtl, Nyi, Van….(not to mention capitulating v tb and bos in the 3rd period this season)
oh and giving up a late goal to let ott send it to OT. This team couldn't shut a Chinese restaurant down, nevermind a game.

  5. Canada gave hockey to the world and then the world said "we love it, but it's too rough"…

They should have never let IIHF have different rules than the NHL. All leagues should strive to be the best league(which is the NHL hands down).

Now we have wimpy European style hockey taking over the NHL where when the game gets chippy, everyone starts being a greasy little dirt bag instead of throwing big open ice checks or dropping the gloves.

They take checking out of minor hockey leagues more and more every year… now even minor prospects aren't allowed to drop the gloves?

Guess what people… when you successfully babyproof and take any risk out of hockey so that no one gets hurt… people will stop watching… the NHL season is already boring to watch even compared to the dead puck era…

I'll take guys who put it all on the line for the team and heavy weight brawls over Michigan goals and spinarama pass to one timer highlight reel goals every time.

  6. This whole conversation: it ain’t good 😉
Sounds like already thinking Leaf’s will have another game 7 ( if they’re lucky).
But also feels like Toronto are in trouble.

  7. Don't blow it guys. Matthews broke O'Reilly and the goalies get hurt no rhyme no reason and no rhythm yet. A few games left before the playoffs…some teams are out of it back in October! Go Leafs Go!

  8. I totally agree with Bourne, I’ve been saying it for a couple weeks now. The lines change every game. It’s too hard to get continuity when you do that. If Keefe wants to shuffle lines up to see who works where, then he has to give each shuffle a few games to properly judge it. After that, guys will either have the chemistry or they won’t.
I know it’s only one game, but I’ve been a leaf fan for over 40 years and it’s the same old story. Too much inconsistency with this team and if a fan starts believing they’re cup ready, they’ll break your heart.
It ain’t easy being a leaf fan, lol

  9. The not important thing is how the islanders are willing to sacrifice their body at this point in the season and the Leafs are trying to stay healthy and not get hurt with only 12 games before the playoffs. I think you guys are overthinking game 70
