Alec Baldwin sues the Armor Hannah Guiterrez-Reed, 1st AD David Halls, Prop Master Sarah Zachry, Prop Distributer Seth Kenney, and his company PDQ Arm & Prop. But thatβs not all; the suit contains a tremendous amount of detail about the FBI report and interviews given during the Rust investigation. But that is not the only new lawsuit; 1st AD Dave Halls has also filed a counter-lawsuit arguing that he should also be indemnified against any win by script supervisor Mamie Mitchell.

If the gun was known to be in bad condition, it shouldβve been removed from use altogether and a replacement obtained, no?
In my opinion just because they were irresponsible doesnβt mean that Baldwin wasnβt. If heβd checked the gun, as per Nicholas Cages comment, then these errors would have been caught and a life saved. Theyβre all culpable, including Baldwin.
The audio for the intro and outro should be better balanced. Can barely hear you over the music.
βI need makeup that works like crayonsβ πβ€ I feel you Emily!
π he did it, she did it, you did it, they did it. I didnβt do it. π
I wonder about the person who repeatedly asked for set safety meetings. Did they ever report to someone that they never happened? I wonder if thereβs a record of that.
Thank you so much for covering this case. Itβs fascinating and horrific at the same time. It raises so many red flags and questions and concerns.
This literally was a deadly Russian Roulette by gross negligence and disorganization. Everyone on that set was at risk! Anyone who held weapons was an unwilling executioner! π€’π€’π€’
Hope you'll soon break down the Idaho defamation suit in which the professor is suing the tarot reader who accused her of the quadruple murder…
There was a tragic series of events obviously, just never, EVER, point a gun a anyone whether you believe it is loaded or not. Just never.
First of 2023! THANKS!
Even if Hutchins asked Baldwin to point the gun toward her and her camera, I'm damn sure she didn't tell him to pull the trigger which we know he did, although he claims he didn't. Aligning himself with Hutchins after he shot her dead is completely inappropriate IMO.
wasn't there a on set video recording of Baldwin "practicing" drawing the gun in the moments before the shots happened? I seem to remember so. If you go back and watch those "practice draws"- you will CLEARLY see that Baldwin NATURALLY/INNATIELY pulls his trigger finger movement in that moment (when he said "he never pulled the trigger"). Anytime he talks about drawing the gun and recreates that moment in an interview, you also see how trigger finger "pull" instinctly/naturally. So- not saying he's guilty, BUT.. to me that would seem to suggest during the fatal practice draw with live rounds in it, that trigger finger did the same an – rest is history. (okay it naturally held back the trigger while he cocked hammer and let it go).
If these facts stay true, I must say I wouldn't want Baldwin criminally accused.
I think it's reasonable that the armorers don't let (stupid) actors check the guns. Actors could, for example, have an ego and want more bang from the gun. And put live rounds in themselves, or otherwise fuck it up.
so asnwer me this: why would they need, for a film, to test a prop gun with LIVE rounds at a range- for usefulness for a film shoot? couldn't they use test prop guns with dummy/empty rounds to ensure they "fire enough" for film? That part completely confuses me. Seems there should never be a need to have, or test, live rounds for a film shoot.
I like how they're asking "what went wrong"? The question seems to be "What went right??!!!"
Holy crap… π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©π©
I don't get it. How can there even be an argument that the buck doesn't stop with the finger on the trigger? Doesn't mean that the other people are not responsible as well but not instead. That's just not how the adulting thing works.
The YouTuber Drip Drop (Crime Circus) provides the interrogations of all the main players – Alec, Hannah, Dave Halls, Sarah Zachary and Seth Kenny. Hannah has two. One with and one without her attorney. They are excellent
hmm… why would you feel weired about the movie going back in production? yes, deaths at a workplace are tragic, and the ones at fault need to be punished, but there would be quite some (great) movies that never saw the light of day because there was a death on set. or buildings built because construction workers had an accident. or …. you get my drift.
Holy shit! I think you can just call it what it is. They basically were playing Russian Roulette all through the production.
Why do they even need real guns? Itβs a frickin MOVIE
Great insights, thank you!
Surely if a jury sees those pictures of the PDQ ammo storage it's game over?
This is so horrendous. I wish that Baldwin had just stayed quiet at the beginning and then at least we would have had all this information without it looking like he was just trying to make excuses. This armourer sounds awful! But I remember hearing Jensen Ackles talking about them and it sounded a bit sus then
