Pete Buttigieg is a well-informed, old-school civil servant. He is clearly in command of the details and the facts, and seems genuinely committed to seeing our public dollars put to good use to build up the infrastructure in this country (which lags behind a lot of what you will find in the rest of the developed world, by the way). I am, frankly, stunned that anyone could believe that the Republicans questioning him are in any way as equipped to tackle the complex climate and infrastructure challenges faced by this nation – the very same Republicans that didn't realize that there was an income cap on the subsidies for electric vehicles written into the law.

How in world did the Honorable allow PencilNeck Pete to gloss over the pointed question re: foreign 'migrants' (invasion force) to board, travel, often, if not always, at taxpayer expense to answer that passports ARE NOT REQUIRED for domestic airline travel. Well,…do tell,…thanks Petey for belaboring the obvious. Yes AMERICANS are free to travel, so far, without passport (even though every inconvenience but passport requirement now exists) but wetback union-busting hordes traveling w/o ANY ID or valid state-issued documents get free travel seems like topic worthy of MUCH deeper inspection. Softball questions w/o serious follow-up are on display here.

Possibly getting minerals from 2nd and 3rd workd countries doesthe following:
1. provides social engineering opportunities
2. depletes minerals over there while raising the value on the minerals we own.
3. Avoiding land destruction in America (the longer we can do that, the better).
4. Keeps those countries focused on producing and exporting while we focus on tech creation manufacturing and innovation. That's what the chinese are doing.
All these are homeland security assistive and maintaining 1st world status.
