Thank you to our alpha patron Coquina for these three standout tracks from Laura. The third track is “Billys Blues” and wow… This is some thought provoking and just excellent work all around from Laura. I am a for sure a fan for life after the handful of songs I’ve heard. She was so special, it seems…

I honestly can't believe how damn good this was… but at the same time I can lol. This is even better then Eli's Comin and Stoned Soul Picnic! Are there anymore tracks I should listen to?? This was SO interesting.
She had her own style quite unique and beautiful
Lovely voice. Enjoyed this. Thank you Coquina
Do Barbra Streisand's version, please.
I usually just listen to whatever's on the air or streaming, but I'm going to have to deep dive Nyro's work. Why wasn't this big when I was listening as a kid?
Thanks Coquina for requesting this! What an amazing songwriter and her singing blew me away (again)! INCREDIBLE! Thanks L33 for all the effort you put in to keep this channel running! ☮❤🎶
“Mama let me start all over.
Cradle me. Mama cradle me again”
Wedding Bell Blues
A pure, beautiful voice. Now you must do Blood, Sweat and Tears cover of And When I Die.
"Sweet Blindness" is a great one from Laura. The 5th Dimension had a big hit with it.
Thank you, Lee!☀️
Blood, Sweat and Tears version of "And When I Die" is worth a listen. Barbra Streisand had a good hit with "Stoney End." It is so good to hear Laura Nyro's voice again. Thanks for showcasing her talent.
"Beads of Sweat" is my favourite Laura Nyro song, Also features Duane Allman on guitar… Amazing song!
Laura was 18 when she recorded these songs, and that's probably the least remarkable thing about them.
Think she was only 18 when she wrote When I Die
Goosebumps!!!❤
Great suggestions Coquina. Over time it’s easy to forget how wonderful artists like Laura Nyro are and what they meant to the history of music. ❤
My friend Carol introduced me to Laura Nyro's 'New York Tenderberry' album way back in 1989, 'Tom Cat Goodbye' is amazing.
Love hearing the songwriter sing their own songs. Thanks Coquina for bringing them here to us, so very enjoyable. Great reaction,L33, keep up the good work. Blessings and joy all.
The lyrics are so interesting. I love her voice. I want to hear more ❤
Thank you both. Beautiful voice and song writer
Daaang love the slow bluesy sound. What a voice!!
She is one of the "female singer-songwriters trinity" I admire the most – Joni Mitchell, Carole King and Laura Nyro.
