In my opinion it comes down to whether the movie looks good or not. I think this movie will do pretty well just because it's one of the more exciting stories to come out of DC in a long while.
Why the reboot? Marvel had a tonne of bad movies in their cinematic movies. Fast and furious with tokyo drift went in a different direction. All they need is one movie to tie all the loose ends.
