The last all-out sprint of the UCI Cross-Country World Cup season done and dusted. Literally! The bone-dry XCC loop in Val di Sole, Italy turned into a dust cloud the moment riders kicked off the final short track Cross-Country race of the season. After a little more than 20 minutes of non stop full power, it was Pauline Ferrand Prevot & Titouan Carod who claimed the win with Alan Hatherly & Alessandra Keller taking the overall titles for the 2022 season.

  1. This event having their own separate World Cup is much like F1 sprint races giving a completely different World title: it's extremely dumb.

    XCC should give half-points when compared to XCO and serve the purpose of reordering the grid. This could even work for the World Championships as it could also reorder the grid there no problem. It's insane how the UCI got most of it right in the beginning and then ruined it completely.
