  1. “ letting his football ppl do their job”.
Mark selected these ppl for 20 seasons…….IF WE SUCK AGAIN ARE WE GOING TO FINALLY LOOK AT MARK DAVIS

MARK DAVIS IS MISUNDERSTOOD OR HE SUCKS AT HIS JOB…….after 20 years of sucking I think it’s the ladder

WHY HAVE WE BEEN TRASH FOR 20 years WE NEED ANSWERS……

HOW COMMITTED ARE YOU TO WINNING AFTER SUCKING FPR 20 years

  2. Because of our schedule, the success of this season is on a knife edge… if Minshew isn't successful over the first 4 games (1-3) then it will almost certainly already be too late to save the season. Expecting O'Connell to then come in and go 9-4 and sneak us into the playoffs is a huge ask.

  3. I am happy that Mark Davis is looking to build stability. We all heard stories about the paranoia and factionalism that Al Davis fostered. Mar is fixing 30 years of chaos and going for JMD showed he wasn't afraid of going for the big name. AP shows a 180 degree of change, trying to find a coach that the players will play for. So he's not afraid of things.

  4. Been a fan since 1965, seen the good and bad. I believe in this GM and coaching staff. Minshew gives us the best chance to start fast because we need his mobility against the 1st few teams that we play because they have good pass rushers

  5. I like some things Gardner has done in the past with much less weapons. One thing is certain, if he doesn’t succeed with these weapons and this defense to back him up his career will be over.

  6. Idk, going with a quarterback who can get you, what, 10 yards a game with his feet?, over a quarterback with a stronger more accurate arm just doesn’t sit well with me. Plus, if they have virtually the same stats last year, why not go with the quarterback who has more chemistry with the receivers? Just doesn’t make sense.

  7. I was really pulling for Aidan, because we don't have a great record for drafting QB's who become franchise cornerstones (literally just Kenny Stabler and Derek Carr) But if it's Minshew, so be it, I just want a QB who can win games and get us where we want to be. I'm not hoping we're 4-5, 5-4 at the bye and Aidan gets the start. I'm all in for Minshew until he proves he's not the guy. Great point about taming the gunslinger aspect. That is the essence of developing players; honing their skills while eliminating bad habits and mistakes. You'd rather have a horse that has to be reined in than one you have to whip.

  8. Just listen carefully to AP, Aidan might not be here next year. “Football” people look at stats not the what if’s. Gardner has been doing the same thing since he been in the league… not consistent, suspect decision making and throws hospital balls. Been a fan since birth..65’. Fact is EVERYONE was shocked by this choice because it doesn’t make good football sense.

  10. So Hondo what is the odds since yesterday there in Vegas that AP gets fired this season seeing how they decided to tank this season? When do you think Adams and Max get traded by week 6? And who else do you think goes as they go for the #1 pick and more draft picks?

  11. I think everyone in that locker room knows more about AOC now. He was part of the worst offensive game in recent history last yr vs the vikings. He was also about 1 percent of the reason we beat the Chiefs last year. ZERO completions in the 2nd half. Had all offseason to work and get better. He didnt get much better. Even Tre Tucker is happy Gardner is the QB.

  12. Gardner threw multiple passes that were almost picked. And gets handed the job.
AOC stands tall in the pocket, Maybe holds the ball a little too long sometimes but that can be coached with footwork and pocket awareness.

  13. Luke Getsy is terrible, and the fact that he schemed his play calling based things Aidan doesn't do well means he isn't a great coach. The great coaches scheme with the talent in which they have. For the record I NEVER wanted AP, and this is exactly why. Getsy hires If you have two different men, Aidan and Minshew and they both end up "sucking" thats on the COACHES

  14. Every team, every year, ends in heartbreak. Except for one team
Over the years, I've learned to appreciate a rollorcoaster ride of a season, as long as we're in the playoff hunt. A 9-8 season full of ups and downs is great for me. I think making it to the superbowl and losing, is almost as bad as not making the playoffs

  15. Hondo. Don't start doing that bs. Don't start making excuses for the Raiders owner GM and coaches. Remember you're not a fan you only report facts and the facts are Raiders have sold the fans BS for the past 20+ years. They're always a defensive way a quarterback away a coach away. They knew they didn't have no quarterback and they went out and got Gardner minshew who is a backup quarterback on any other team in the NFL but the Raiders. And now you're on here trying to sell fans false hopes and the same BS we always hear. The Raiders can go out and get a quarterback next year BS. We should have got one this year last year we had won the year before and we let him go. Same BS every year.

  16. I get so angry when people bad mouth Mark Davis…. He "is" the Raiders and is dedicated to doing his best to restore our team to greatness.

Thank you Hondo for commenting on that.

  17. I think the coaches are looking at who we're playing and who's the best matchup… Not using Both QBs situationally would be a mistake! We don't have a QB with all the skills but, we do have two combined that do…
