Sorry, not sorry to say , the Browns organization is inept. For the Ravens is business not personal they will you test the market to set your price and if too much they happy you getting your money! But it's right player right price. Joe Flacco won a Superbowl to set his price while Lamar wasn't willing to take that risk!!
# Kept Lamar in Baltimore
Wrong lol. These owners aren’t paying that guaranteed money. W for the Ravens L for Lamar. He stays in bmore for less $
Nobody wants him. My Falcons have a 58 million cap this year. We are going after free agents and draft high to build the team. Desmond Ridder is not great but 58 million can make a awsome team to support him. You sign Jackson you have no cap, your poor. We went through this with Matt Ryan’s 100 million contract and Julio Jones contract. We over paid and they destroyed the entire team because there was no money to go after even a decent player much less a star. The Falcons will never do that again.
I think Lamar is gone and next up is Huntley.
I really don't want him to go or leave Baltimore Raven They should work things out with him
I really don't like that how they treat me Lamar Jackson he should stay in this work things out with the Baltimore Ravens he should never leave the Baltimore Raven That's what I think
Euphoric feeling from gambling what a clown 😂
Yes, who's switching teams
So a team would spend 2-1st round picks for a 1 year rental?? I don't think so, no team that wants to be competitive would give Lamar Jackson (or any QB, the Browns are just idiots) a long multi-year fully guaranteed contract. So if Jackson wants a fully guaranteed multi-year contract, no one is going to go after him while spending that much draft capital. I'm sure many teams are interested in him, but not if he will have them over a barrel after giving up the picks.
Lamar wants that contract so we giving him chance to see what he worth, but I guarantee whatever he's offered we would match
This aged nicely 😂😂😂 Atlanta is out. Lamar isn't going anywhere this is a way for the Ravens to see what the market is for Lamar. He's not leaving Baltimore. Terrible take.
Trashcan Cam Newton was very similar to Lamar Jackson. Both or one time MVPs. But Cam Newton made it to a Super Bowl then we came injury prone. Lamar Jackson won one playoff game and has been injury prone since that point in his career. Both players were very exciting to watch and have the capabilities of doing some amazing things on the field. The reality to both of these quarterbacks are their careers a very short lived I don’t think any teams gonna offer anything in the Patrick Mahomes Derek Carr range yes I know Derek Carr doesn’t make as much as Patrick Mahomes It’s a price tag range. Teams are probably going to offer around the same amount as what the Giants are paying their no-name quarterback or possibly less .I don’t see him getting all that much guaranteed money from any other team unless the Jets make a run for him they’re probably the only dumpster fire organization left that would foolishly mortgage their future on a injury prone player . But I think the Jets am more interested in the possibility of Aaron Rodgers than they are the risk that they would have to take with Lamar Jackson. I don’t think the Miami Dolphins want to take a risk on a mobile quarterback again after the problems they’ve seen happen with a mobile quarterback like the one they have now. The real question is are there any teams out there that think they can convert Lamar Jackson into a pocket passer to extend his career. Then the next question is is Lamar Jackson willing to make that change.
As a Ravens fan, I am getting really sick of sports media gaslighting and manipulating us simply cause we don't have a big game WR to throw to Lamar for "muh deep ball highlights". If you think I'm talking out of my six, just pay attention to the teams that sports media love to focus on, and get the names of their QBs and WRs.
Realistically, this is a calculated approach by DeCosta, and not surprising, given how the Browns literally poisoned the well with Watson's fully guaranteed contract. Although I still say to this day that the main culprit is Rick Spielman (former Vikings GM) for offering Kirk Cousins a fully guaranteed contract out of sheer desperation or stupidity. The Browns just piled on with Watson, and that sets an ugly precedence when it comes to QB contracts. From what I had gathered, other team owners are not happy that the Browns made that move, since owners are more focused on the profitability of their franchises than anything. Talks about "collusion" are not unfounded, but think about it. While yes, I agree that players should go after the best deals to offer since most have families to look after, wanting a fully guaranteed deal is not only ludicrous, but also an easy way to stop caring once the money rolls in. This is a primary reason why some big name free agents fizzled out: the motivation is no longer there once the money is guaranteed, cause regardless of how awful you play, you get the money anyway. I am not arguing against guaranteed money, but expecting a contract fully guaranteed can not only kill a player's motivation, it can also affect team composition cause of the salary cap, which again, is often overlooked by sports media who only care about deep ball highlights. You need 53 players on a roster, and while their salaries differ, everyone has to be paid somehow. It will be wise to not saddle a majority of your cap on 2 to 3 guys just cause a bunch of know-it-all personalities swoon over deep ball throws and catches.
The long story short is that owners want Watson's fully guaranteed deal to be an outlier and not a trend, and the non-exclusive tag is a start to cleaning up a poisoned well. The ball is fully in Lamar's court now. Either he can smarten up and take the best offer available with less guaranteed money, or play hard ball and risk his career ending up like Watson's, minus the drama, once a team foolishly takes the bait.
Let Lamar go and use the funds on players to help the entire team get better. Find a QB in the draft or go after a second level after building up the O more.
Obviously, I agree with the Jets, Miami as a sleeper and other sleeper: Washington?, See what happens with Stafford’s arm?, most of the south division. Indy, Tennessee, Texans??? Obviously mostly all will get a QB in the draft, but with free agency first, and most would want him before a rookie??
At some point, all QB contracts will be guaranteed. Also, I feel like here in about 5 to 10 years, there might not be a cap for FB or BB, kind of like basketball. Basketball owners can spend whatever they want without penalties.
Ravens wait and see what everyone else is willing to give you for Lamar to figure out what his worth is!
They got him with a 38th pick and made him an all-star.
I can tell you what will happen: LJ stays in BAL getting the 32 millions cos no one else will offer him what the über greedy NFLPA whispers to über greedy LJ what he has to want (200+ mill. guaranteed)… LJ is fungible. Average passer, quitter, selfish, arrogant…BAL front offices saw all this. Brillant move they hadnt signed him long term, brilliant move to sign him to the lower tag… They should stand strong. No more offers… We have a buyers market (contrary to whaat talking heads say). AR, JG, Derek Carr (now signed), Jameis Winston, Mayfield lead the list… Then we have an upcoming draft loaded with QBs, then there is the situation that at least 26 clubs have their starter already… If I was the GM: offer the minimum to LJ, full blown war to this prick, RB/QB LJ. Eat your own shxxx… Guy is just annoying… And finally, as a refs fan, BAL dont care if LJ is signed long term, always won without "franchise" QBs.
Needless to say I was right with my comments on your chanel about JG, Herbert and Lawrence in the past seasons. Its all so simple.
NO. It's not. Mike what's going on here is COLLUSION. Why would so many teams bother to say they won't negotiate with him???? Think, buddy.
Bro I live here all my life and trust me we are very comfortable and ready to move on from Lamar if he's not ready to come off the fully guaranteed period. We're almost about to say F Lamar seriously not as a person but a team mate and business man
I would already LEFT
QUIT Playing around like fuckin RODGERS
Lamar is being greedy and it would hurt his team with not being able to get weapons and he wants that guaranteed money because he will be hurt all the time playing this type of football.
