  1. I am glad the employees are happy. I hate that the change was reversed but it might be for the best. I was hoping with Imagineering coming to Orlando, WDW could get a some of the awesome little things that Disneyland gets every year (seasonal updates and changes, with marvel and star wars and other characters).

  2. Maybe California should become a bit more business friendly so that Disney wouldn’t have even bothered with Florida in the first place. Taxes in California are ridiculous for both businesses and regular folk.

  3. Why would anyi business now want to expand or move to Florida. It has become pretty anti-business, farms and construction operations can't get the migrant workers they need to stay afloat, and the bans on books, abortion, dictating what can and cannot be taught in schools, etc make moving to FL unenticing. While some think it's a poke in RD's eye, not relocating is a good business decision.

  4. The new campus project may well have been a boodoggle, but to say the environment in FL is not to blame—at least in part—is plainly ignoring that “business environment” includes the environment in which you are asking people to live. Who the HELL wants to go live in that DeSantis dumpster fire. It’s not all about balance sheets. Quality of life matters.

  5. California has lost it's mind – I think Disneyland will be able to grow when we have a new governor. It's not exactly business first here in California. I am voting for a change for sure here. There is so much potential to expand and grow.

  6. Disney is going broke, bookings are down at the parks for the peak summer season, indy 5 looks like it might bomb at the box office. They are cutting costs where ever they can. It was a smart move to blame desantis though it probably had nothing to do with the decision.

  7. They did it to save money, using the issues with Florida as cover. How much did the Star Cruisers “experience “ cost them again. That and a list of failed movies and Disney plus losing subs need to be offset.

  8. Disney isn’t going to do anything big in Disneyland. It’s significantly harder to build stuff in California than nearly anywhere else in the US. There’s a reason why they barely do anything out there.

  9. Tom did you ever consider that they probably don’t have the money currently to do the project, especially after it was moved down the road last year? I think this is a deflection move.Just saying!

  10. If it was about money then moving out of California was the right move. The fact that their losing money everywhere including the Florida park. There just saving money. There spin is it’s political lmao.

  11. This decision for Lake Nona had nothing to do with DeSantis it was a bad idea from the start, Iger is making better decisions for the company and its guests. And, I’m confident the feud with Florida will continue but eventually smooth out, time has a way of doing that. The Galactic Star Cruiser was dead before it started, the money would have been better spent in the Parks like Animal Kingdom. I know Tom won’t like my answer but I still enjoy watching him.
