Labour 'will keep up' attack advert campaign on the Prime Minister

Pat McFadden, the Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury, has defended his party’s attacks on the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

This includes adverts that say Mr Sunak does not want to jail child sex offenders.

“The ads that we’ve produced punch pretty hard, but they do so for an important reason,” Mr McFadden said. “And that is that the government has a record – it’s got a 13-year record.”

  1. Easiest thing in the world to go negative and point out the faults of the other guy. No positive vision of what they would do differently. Raise the level of public debate ffs not drive it into the gutter

  2. The whole campaign is designed to deflect from the fact that slippery Starmer is devoid of ideas and was complicit in the legislation. Even Thornberry wrote to him in 2012 to complain about the laws. The spineless chancer is as guilty as they come but as usual has been completely bamboozled by his own selective memory, guff, waffle and flip floppery!

  3. Not convinced that sinking to the level of The Brexitories is the right way to go for opposition parties even if the English electorate has displayed indifference to brazen and gross dishonesty corruption and lack of accountability.

  4. McFadden is the worst type, never worked a normal job, into politics stratight from school, no idea what life is like for the rest of us. He knows his party's lack of credible policy needs a deflection. Weak.

  8. Meaningless muddle of wordspeak from McFadden. 'Strikes are a failure of negotiation.' 'We don't support strikes'. So whenever there's negotiating failure, workers should just shrug and carry on working? How does that work then?

  9. Ah the usual lefty lies drivel and 100 % total hypocrisy . Yes Labour really is the Nasty Party . Oh and can I mention their overwhelming appreciation of and constant support they show for the indigenous people of these islands . Yes apparently they appreciate us that much that they never stop telling us how racist we are and how we are so inferior to the people's of every other nation but obviously most of all to every person on this planet who they classify as being a person of colour .

  10. In systematically dismantling the socialist origins of the Labour Party, the leadership style of keir starmer will not bring the contrasting people’s of the uk together.
To ban his predecessor Jeremy Corbyn, from standing as a Labour candidate, after he has held his seat for 40 years is ridiculous. And the suggestion that he sack former Scottish Labour leader Richard Leonard only confirms that Scottish labour and Scottish lavatories are mere puppets of the Westminster governing elite.
Furthermore, as well as not contemplating or even discussing independence or a united Ireland, this earnest but ineffectual knight of the realm hardly now mentions the ludicrous and anarchic House of Lords. In truth sir keir has moved labour to the political right in partnership with the lavatory party in brexit Britain.

  11. Labour are low, the only thing they can do is spread lies and talk bad about other parties. When they are the party that created the soft laws and low sentences for crimes, and they try and blame the tories, that is rich.

  12. Sadly, the electorate will eventually find out, that starmer is in fact: the drama queen from hell…and things will get even worse. The problem is they won,t tackle crime, and criminals harshly, and bring back capital punishment. They won,t tackle the migrant crisis, and they won,t stop sending billions to country's who don,t need it, etc. So don,t expect miracles from Mr Starmer. The only people keen to vote for Labour, are people of a migrant background: who are keen to bring yet more relatives over. Who ever gets in, needs to build up the armed forces, increase police numbers, and generally pull their finger out, and starting earning the vast salary they are paid….and in many cases, are not worth. They also need to bring back national service for the young, and start filling pot holes in roads….and umpteen other issues need sorting, that this stupid incompetent government have failed to address.

But Sky News of course wont get it. "WhAt Is OfF LimITs??" well crime and injustice isnt off limits. Dumb statement from Kay really.
