Labour following Tory fiscal rule leaves shortage of money to '”fix the country”, says Mick Lynch

RMT General Secretary Mick Lynch has told Sky News that Labour following a “fiscal rule set by the Tories” isn’t going to provide “enough revenue or money to fix the country’s problems”.

“Many of cities and communities are crumbling,” said the union boss as he called for a wealth tax on the super wealthy.

He said Chancellor Rachel Reeves “has a number at her disposal, the problem is that she’s chosen to declare that she’s not going to use very many of them.”

  1. There will never be enough money to fix this mess. The tories know that, hence they didn't even contest the election. Instead they will focus on dishing the dirt in the hope of getting in next time round. Dishing the dirt and putting the boot into public sector workers is what they do best. Running a country is what the can't do because there is always someone with fingers in the till

  2. This guy Lynch should talk about his members increasing productivity rather than sitting on their *** and getting above inflation pay rises. In the private sector, they would be fired after a month or two.
