Kyrie Irving Lakers Trade Update! Celtics To The Rescue! Kyrie Staying?

The Lakers Trade for Kyrie Irving maybe coming into reality. Kevin Durant Trade To The Celtics is in the works and the Celtics now have upset Jaylen Brown and might have to do the trade. The Nets would get some great young talent and picks and if the Nets Trade Kevin Durant than the Nets are Trading Kyrie Irving.

  1. Kyrie never asked for a trade. Kyrie loves Brooklyn. The Celtics offer was made several weeks ago. The Nets made the Celtics offer public to make their competitors look bad to one of their better players.

KD and Kyrie will remain in Brooklyn. Coach Pop wouldn’t help our lakers even if a gun was held to his head. The Nets are enjoying all this attention when they have no intention of making any trades.

Per KD’s podcast, he has zero interest to play in Boston.

  2. Good stuff! I'm sure Pelinka & his team are working double overtime these days! The Jazz and Spurs are teams that are willing to go all out and make fair trades when rebuilding – good for 3-way trades.
I like a good deal on Simmons too – he's very good at the things he does, and I don't believe he's been in a helpful situation so far (but Bron/Ham/the team can decide on that).
A huge factor for the Lakers this last season is they lost their steel trap defense – guys willing and able to both out-hustle and out-maneuvre opponents, and they seem to be trying to address that now. They need young, smart, scrappy, persistent, opportunistic (like Caruso or L. Ball – 3&D if possible) guys willing to do the dirty work. Not into Hield. Or Turner much. Kyrie or bust.

  3. As a Lakers fan I’m not that excited about KD potentially going to the Celtics. The Celtics are the one team that could put together a package that could make Brooklyn immediately competitive in the East. They have stated several times that they want to be immediately competitive since they don’t own their own picks. If they get Brown, Smart, and White in addition to what they have it would definitely be more advantageous to keep Kyrie and be that much better than to trade him for a late first round pick and maybe a second. And Joe Tsai and the Nets did offer Kyrie an extension so they obviously don’t want to get rid of him at all cost as you make it seem. I think a KD trade to the Celtics could hurt the Lakers chances of landing Kyrie just as much as it could help.

  4. I'd tell Net's to trade Ben Simmons so I can give you Tatum for KD straight up.. Just my opinion, I've never liked Tatum. Because of his Offense and mainly because the Celtics dismiss Jaylen Brown.. When I have always believed him to be the best player.. Except they don't know how to properly run the Offense.. kills me, JB's biggest issue is not getting pissed.. He needs to be assertive and say hey.. I'm the best offensive player, give me the damn ball. This type of trade for what these executives look for as more of "equal" value. That's the perfect scenario for a Kevin Durant trade. So you aren't giving up soo much of your team. I hate on Tatum, but the dude is a great defender. It would definitely be felt and would suck to lose him. However I feel trading him for KD would be a lot easier. You simply slot him into his natural position and give him all Tatum's minutes.. Move on and now they'd still have the elite D at point and now you've fixed everything wrong with this team. Which is the offense.. because you still keep Brown, have Horford, added Brogdon/Gallinari and get one of the top 5 best player's in the game.. That would be the perfect Celtics team. The only guy they'd be missing is their old teammate Jae Crowder off the bench for KD. They could easily fill in a spot for another defensive wing. Sucks this won't happen.

Even if they don't make a trade. At least the Celtics have improved a lot. While one of the most important thing's about the Brogdon trade. Is his ability to easily play 1-3. Which i don't hear anyone talking about. Think about how that can change thing's for them in lineups. The best one being Smart/Brown/Brogdon/Tatum/Horford. That alone makes them a lot more dynamic and harder to deal with.
