This elegant and exciting 3-part series evokes the time of the knights in a unique and intimate rollercoaster ride of individual lives set in the wider context of medieval Europe. Knights were celebrities, risk-takers, and showmen. Yet, theirs was not just a man’s world: female knights were not unheard of, including Joan of Arc and the almost forgotten ladies of the Ordre de la Hache of Spain.

brilliant
Very informative. I have just checked the derivation of the word 'knight' in the Oxford Concise Dictionary. From the Old English 'cniht' – youth, and the Old High German 'kneht'.
I do not know when English dropped the 'kn ' sound.
So glad that I subscribed to this channel! Thank you for yet another fascinating film.
If I wanted to read! Smh
In the fight between armor and cutting or piercing instruments, victory always goes to those who manufacture war equipment without taking risks in battle. Modern armaments manufacturers are in a business that has been profitable and secure since the Middle Ages.
Im blown away at the quality of this documentary, the sets, props, actors (and stuntmen)… all top shelf
@Get.factual could you please upload a video about the Anglo-Saxon invasion of Britannia.

I applaud you for the video quality, hope it doesn’t take long to upload the last 2 episodes
Great documentary cant wait for the other two parts.
Please make a documentary about if knight colored there helmets ect because alot of people think they did.. While it would cost alot to do to just paint a helmet by peasent soldiers even for lords. dye was not easy to come by and i dont believe they did it on a big scale for knights that go to battle maybe for tournaments. But love to see how and when they dyed helmets and armor and when what for.

Chainmail was not factual. Gary Gygax and D&D wrongfully coined chainmail. It was just called "Maille".
