KLM Says “GOODBYE” to the 787 and turning to Airbus A350! Here’s Why
The national airline of the Netherlands – KLM was founded in 19 19, and is the oldest airline on earth. The airline has a long history dating back to World War 2, the post-war period and the jet aircraft boom. Until now, this is still an important bridge connecting Europe with other regions of the world. This delicious piece of cake always makes both Boeing and Airbus compete to bring the plane into KLM’s fleet. And until now, Boeing has absolutely dominated almost the entire airline fleet. As a result, when news broke that KLM wanted to upgrade its long-haul fleet, people believed they would continue to choose Boeing aircraft, specifically the 7 8 7. But surprisingly they decided to choose Airbus A3 50 instead. So what’s going on? Why does KLM build its future fleet based on Airbus? Let’s find out!
KLM’s background
KLM Says “GOODBYE” to the 787 and turning to Airbus A350! Here’s Why
First about the history of KLM, as mentioned above The airline was founded in 19 19 and in 2004 KLM joined SkyTeam, an international airline alliance. The same year, the airline was acquired by Air France to create Air France – KLM, one of the world’s largest air carriers. But it is different from some other recent airline mergers such as those of two US airlines, United Continental and Delta Northwest. Under the terms of the deal, the two airlines continued to operate as separate companies, retaining their own hubs, flights, and logos. The Air France-KLM group is currently owned by shareholders, of which the French State is the largest with a 28.6% stake, while the Dutch State currently holds 9.3%.
KLM Says “GOODBYE” to the 787 and turning to Airbus A350! Here’s Why
It can be said that although both share the same board of directors to provide things like strategic direction and financial management. But basically, their original team and network are still clearly different. The proof is in their fleet, while Air France favors Airbus and KLM prefers Boeing. And once the airline is entrenched in its own Boeing or Airbus ecosystem. They are more likely to stay loyal to a manufacturer they chose from the start. This ensures the similarity of the fleet, uniformity between aircraft, helping the airline save a lot of costs in training pilots, they can fly more than one aircraft at the same time. And extremely beneficial in the maintenance of future aircraft.

It is that pathetic non-union facility in South Carolina…. I wouldn't trust those scabs to build a wheel barrel .
Aircraft wars cause too much conflict and price variance. It's 2024 now.
Um, yeah, and the first time this new innovative fly by wire system was demonstrated, it crashed !! So much for the safety of this new fly by wire system, and ridiculous sidestick system set up by Airbus .
エールフランスの陰謀
Wow! Exactly the same crap video that you’ve posted for the THIRD time! Aviatrix even had one too. Viewers should search the title and see what comes up. Avoid this channel and watch the more useful ones.
Oh boy ! I hope Indonesian airline just like Garuda Indonesia have AIRBUS A350-900/1000 xwb/ulr more than BOEING 777 for the future. If it is Garuda Indonesia ordering all of the AIRBUS A350-900/1000 xwb/ulr like this, even more profitable than before as the Garuda Indonesia will be the world's largest operator of AIRBUS A350-900/1000 xwb/ulr for long haul range International route just like European route, African route and South/North American route. So, the Garuda Indonesia will be use AIRBUS A350-900/1000 xwb/ulr than BOEING 777 like this.
Good bye see you!
Good for them !!!🤗 If I owned an airline, Why would I want an airplane in my fleet that it's own builders say, they would NEVER fly on and has the potential to break apart in mid-air.😱 Carry-on luggage is already expensive …I wouldn't want to fly on a jet where I would need to also bring my own parachute.🫢 Perhaps if other airlines started dumping Boeing, they would finally realize that they are no longer the top dog and in danger of extinction. That might make them realize how badly they screwed up ever since the McDonnell Douglas merger.

Very excellent, serious jet show. You explained the situation very clearly between Boeing and Airbus. I say Boeing is under the gun. Airbus on the rise. Professional presentation in every way. Hope you will do more.
Thank you KLM
Good call by KLM. I would not set a foot on Boeing’s planes for a 9 hour flight having to worry for 9 hours that the plane doesn’t fall a part or doors keep flying out, fall to the ground. Who knows what else Boeing has omitted and not told pilots to save a buck here and there.
ust like recent INTEL 's CPU chip fiasco, it's the people that matters. Look at the people at all levels at Boeing , think of the fate of the whistleblowers, the poor Dreamliners become Drainliners.
I am pleased. Lost confidence in Boeing. Wont fly in them unless it's a DC3 😅
Boeing's spacecraft Starliner must fly back empty from the International Space Station (ISS) because the Starliner is deemed too risky to use. It's a big problem if a door falls off on its way to the ground…
Air New Zealand going to 787s, I'm thinking why not A350s, I read they have a billion dollars of parked up planes all brand new because of engine problems , sought of like when they bought Ansett. I suppose the NZ tax payer will bail them again one day.
Say the name Boeing, that´s what´s going on. People don´t trust Boeing any more. Profit before safety.
Do you receive money from Airbus?
WOW WHAT A BULLSHIT!!!!!
Boeing got ther new policy,, Go Woke ,,, Go Broke, wokenes are more importen then reality,,, Boeing hired younger (black illegale muslims first) peoble,,, fired ther inspired crowd ,, moved the offices to corrupt woke Chicago to laundering money faster easilyer ,, Woke and broke ,, !
