As a Vikings fan, Kirks main selling point back in 2018 was his play action ability. Thats why Shannahan loves him and purdy is as good as he is. Not running lpay action with Kirk is like dropping Dexter Laurence into coverage
3:45 this is a complete failure by the OC. If you have a QB come in that is top in the league at something, and then your scheme incorporates the least of that thing, that is a total failure.

Everything Orlovsky said comes down to coaching. I’m a life long Vikings fan (since 1961), and I actually liked Cousins as our QB. He was one of the most accurate throwers I have ever seen, but it was time for us to move on. Kirk has a lot of talent, but most of his limitations are between his ears. Without O’Connell to keep him pumped, he’s now just “bad Kirk”. I predict the same for Darnold when he’s gone.
Atlanta is going to ruin their rookie QB too.
I’d be willing to bet every dollar I got that Penix is gonna be a huge bust. Also, Raheem Morris is a terrible coach.
Kirk will NEVER lose confidence. This is a bad dude when it comes to contract negotiations. You gotta respect that, IMO.
Let’s pay an older QB who’s coming off a major injury 180mil and not run the offense that he’s the best in the league at. Then as a backup plan let’s draft a QB at pick #8. 😂
For one, it’s HORRIBLE coaching to never run play action with a guy like Kirk. That OC should never have another job in the NFL, he refused to change all year and just let Kirk fail
