  1. Maybe the timeline is like how Star Wars Legends functions: Technically previous games are non-canon, but we'll take the parts we like and implement them. And the process repeats for every game. (Note that "parts we like" can also include ingame non-canon material such as True Arena)

  2. It's not quite the Zelda situation where every game not explicitly a sequel is essentially a retelling of the same legend
Kirby grows, his world grows, his folks' character dynamics change, and he discovers more and more intricate plots that will catch up to him at one point, but not every detail will be preserved.

  3. Kirby never struck me as a series that needed a defined Timeline. But it is neat that they keep past stories in mind. So play his games in order, and you'll be fine.

  4. Metaknightmare in Dreamland is literally a "what if" game where instead of Kirby the MC of milky way whishes is MetaKnight, so I presume that there are multiple timelines too

  5. This has truly been an amazing Kirby game, i only wish we had a few more copy abilities as i find 12 to be lacking. Personally there are just a few i really like from older games that i wish where here; Fighter, Electric, Ninja, Yo-Yo and Staff.

  6. 0:57 Zelda never had a timeline either. It was just a stupid concept the weird part of the fandom kept pestering on until Nintendo was forced to make something so they would shut up about it. No game had any connections to each other whatsoever until Wind Waker made references to Ocarina. I hate when people keep on talking about the stupid time lines in regards of Zelda. So friggin annoying.

  7. Though then why are there all abandoned buildings in The Forgotten Land it looks like if there was once humans where kirby is at like you see a bunch of old and mossy buildings that are half destroyed and a SPOILER WARNING or Not too sure

Around the ending of the Forgotten Land you could here an intercom with a lady speaking in English as well so does this also mean that humans in the kirby universe which this is also something similar to splatoon as well which splatoon is also stated that it takes place thousands of years after humanity ended after all of the lands that people used to live in getting flooded with water. Later the inklings starting to become humanoids after the nuclear all the nuclear wars or idk the whole lore of splatoon but I do know that splatoon takes time after humanity ended.

  8. I always imagine that when it comes to Kirby Timelines, I imagine it would be more of Eras.
EXAMPLES, First is the Adventure Era.
Then there was also Dark Matter Era.
Currently we're on the present era The Return to Dreamland Era.

  9. Quite alot of gaming news outlets have assumed that the Kirby series straight up doesn't have a timeline at all when this quote from Shinya Kumazaki began making the rounds online, but that couldn't be further from the truth, as the quote merely states that the people over at HAL don't want to constrain themselves by making each entry a direct sequel to the last. And for a simple series like Kirby, that's perfectly valid. Good on you guys for recognizing that in this news update!

Also, I'm really glad to see that Kirby & The Forgotten Land is doing so well. If this keeps up, it may even pull off the long thought impossible task of dethroning Kirby's Dream Land as the all time highest selling game in the franchise!

  10. The games have always been in chronological order what the hell are you on about?
The lore has always been cumulative, we discover things as kirby does in each game.
Why is anyone surprised by this?
