Wolf, your first stream prompted me to give this game another shot (I tried years ago and got overwhelmed) – I love it so much! When I went to steal the ring, I used speech to convince the executioner to go see Peshek for some bags of flour, letting me steal the ring at my leisure!
Do you have the 'A women's lot' DLC? It allows you to keep Mutt the dog as a companion which is so good – he's a beast in combat!
There's a quest cpt Bernard gives you called 'Ruin' which has you killing bandits – I've gradually accrued some decent gear by killing them, getting paid and repairing their armour for myself.

Where's your dog? Comes in very handy early in the game when fighting and late-game becomes a hound from hell in his own right.

1:16:00 Fun fact: if you continue going to the whorehouse when courting Theresa, she'll smell that on you. Didn't admit to it but damn felt so guilty I stopped going. Now that's an RPG. 😅
Tips continue: send all that loot to the horse, even Pebbles can carry a shitload. Dump all food below ~50 quality, it'll just poison you. Or feed it to the dog, Mutt's a waste disposal unit.
