King Charles III gives first address to nation after Queen Elizabeth II's death | full video

King Charles III, who ascended to the throne after Queen Elizabeth II’s death, paid tribute to his mother and promised to continue her lifelong service in a televised addressed to the nation on Friday — the first time as the new monarch. “As the queen herself did with such unnerving devotion, I too now solemnly pledge myself — throughout the raining time that God grants me — to uphold the constitutional principles at the heart of our nation,” Charles said.

  1. From the internet before her death, people were posting memes about her living forever or she will never die. However, after her death, I kind of feel a part of my mind and heart is a bit “empty”. I’m 20 1/2 years old and I never really paid attention to time and I always thought people in the past like Raegan is just the past. However, after Prince Phillip and then Queen Elizabeth II’s death, I realized, eventually I’m going to encounter people who will only see them as only a figure from a history book (like me in the past). That would definitely make me feel very out of place or old. I’ve lived every day along with the Queen and the Prince on this planet; however, now she and him are gone, it’s unsettling to say the least.

  3. I love how Camila can now walk next to her husband. Yes, she is reason for many of Diane's feelings of not being important. I am a 100% Princess Diana fan but.. when you hear the REAL story, it kinda breaks my heart. Charles wasn't allowed to marry his long time love. Fast forward to 2022… His Majesty will be allowed to share his love for Camila with the world. God bless the King and the Queen Consort❤

  4. Celebrating a dynasty of figureheads is extremely stupid because they literally serve no actual purpose beyond nationalism/entertainment. Why would you have your country rally around a monarchy, an antiquated practice that goes against modern day values of equal opportunities? Furthermore, why are we celebrating this particular royal line, one that has a long history of exploiting other nations?

More concerning is the corruption in the family. Prince Andrew was a colleague of Epstein, and the family has attempted to stop the taxation of their wealth, which they do not truly deserve. Each year, millions of taxpayers’ money goes towards a family controlling hundreds of millions of dollars. Why not put that money towards the homeless in the UK, rather than paying for more guards and corgi handlers?

I sincerely hope people who follow the family think about why they are doing this. These people aren’t like other entertainers who actually produce something interest (like actors or singers)Monarchy is honestly a shameful practice of nepotism undermining the people’s’ choice, so why not rally behind a better icon like the US does with the inanimate object like the Statue of Liberty?

The profits generated by news coverage/tourism is not as much as the millions it costs to pamper these people. There is no justification for their existence. People need to stop giving them attention and hopefully they’ll realize they’re just parasites on undeserved, inherited wealth. The royal family costs the British taxpayers over 100,000,000 pounds a year. That money could really be helpful if it went to people who actually needed it.

It Would Have Been The Making Of Me And Defined Me As A Person As Well As Giving Me A Real Stake In The World! Even Though I Am In My My Mid Fifthties Now I Still Feel I Have Something Of Worth To Contribute To The World And My Community!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

  6. I have communed with God twice in St Giles! Wow, the Spirit feel is huge–such fullness (as there is all over Scotland)
I was rooted there. And each time I sat in a chair in the area where the Queen now lies. I want to add that when I was at Culloden
Battlefield it came to me that Charles Stewart was not destined to rule because he would have married a french
catholic and then Canada would still be french and America would not exist. And, I am absolutely sure that King
Charles was Bonnie Prince Charlie before–finally now, he has come home. Masons and Templar Knights of the Holy Royal Arch Degree
will make sense of this–you know it takes more than one life to be wrought in God's Image at X marks the spot in that little room within.

  7. When you hear the name England, the next thing that comes to mind is The Queen (No Queen, No England). Now bible scholars please don't start throwing daggers at me, I am referring to the human side of things. I know the whole world belongs to God and England is not an exception. I can't imagine England without Queen Elizabeth, it does not sound or feel right but who am I to question God. It's her time, she has fulfilled her purpose. Rest in perfect peace our beloved Queen. God save the King!
