SAURIA is a brutal, primordial, dark-fantasy world. It’s full of dangerous prehistoric wildlife, acursed cultists, pirates, bandits, and numerous warring factions. Survival is the only real goal of most of SAURIA’s inhabitants.
In this video; I’ll be going over the backstory and lore behind one of the most infamous factions of SAURIA; the Kindred of the Tusk. A quasi-religious clan of bandits, pirates, and barbarians.
Hope you all enjoy! 😀

  1. I wasn't sure if I was going to make extra "lore videos" for SAURIA as I didn't know if anyone would be particularly interested in the extended lore of this weird fantasy world I'm making.

However, the overwhelmingly positive response to "Blood for Blood" has led to tons and tons of questions about the extended world of SAURIA. Building up this world, its characters, and its factions is some of the most fun I've been having with this project, and I'm more than happy to share it! 😀

This is the first of at least 4 "Lore Compendium" videos I'll be making, spread out throughout the series.

  2. Hullo, I really love this world. Just found it and binged everything. It's stellar! Would like to ask if you'd accept VO work from me? I won't ask for any pay, I just want to my name out there and I already love this world!

  3. Dare i say that if ipothetically the world of sauria was given a big budget adaptation, it might become as big as star wars or lord of the rings.
The possibilities of a world this vast and detailed are virtually endless

  4. My headcanon:
    > The Kindred's species evolved from Rauisuchians (think Postosuchus), and they have a reverance towards the "land crocodiles", as proven by one concept art showing a beast of burden that looks similiar to a Pseudosuchian.

    >The wildlife they coexisted with:
    – Saurosuchus, also called "Greater Ridgeback" by them, one of their oldest and most fearsome tamed animals.
    – Fasolasuchus; "Lesser Ridgeback", a smaller relative of the Great Ridgeback, that were used as guard dogs of sorts. Much more common and widespread.
    – Erythrosuchus; "Marrow-eater", this big-headed creature used it's large jaws to break bone, and often came out at night to scavenge or intimidate others for food. The Kindred had a low opinion for them, as they viewed them as dishonorable cowards, yet some populations were tamed to clean up campsites, as they'd eat anything.
    – Huallasaurus; "Bounty-walkers" are extremophile hadrosaurs that dwells the desert. The Kindred hunted them, and some even herd them like cattle. The backbone of the Kindred's strength, as they provide most of their meat.
    – Kritosaurus; "Greater Bounty-walker", a larger and rarer relative of the Common Bounty-walker, usually found near the desert's outskrits. Much more prized for their meat, which made them great game for hunters.
    – Udanoceratops; "Beaked Maw"; an aggressive but small ceratopsian. A favorite among game hunters of the Kindred, small and common but packs a nasty bite, a good fit for hunting and training.
    – Scutosaurus; "Hard-back walkers"; another source of meat for the Kindred, deemed less tasty than the Hadrosaur, but much more abundant. They usually were hunted when the water for herding Bounty-walkers became scarce.
    – Gorgonops; "Fanged Prowler", a synapsid prized as a guard dog or bloodhound of sorts for the Kindred. Their smaller size and intelligence made up for their relative uncommon appearance, being a much more loyal companion.
    – Euchambersia; "Plague Prowlers", a venomous synapsid, usually a nocturnal species, hunting livestock. They're villified by the Kindred, as their venom was seen as a coward's weapon, and have been used to assasinate the Kindred's fellow kin, which made them a sinful animal in their religion's views.
    – Diictodon; "Tusked Diggers", small synapsids that sometimes were hunted.
    – Uranocentrodon; "Sand Sleeper", this temnospondyl amphibian were very rare, only found in desert oasis, but now they're even rarer. They usually made a cocoon out of sand to sleep through the day, hence the name. The Kindred hunt them as a delicacy.

  5. DeadSound I am just asking will there be any sexual differences between any of the empires or clans or tribes, I am just curious 🧐, like for the Kendread of the tusk will the females be skinnier? Larger or look different in colour or patterns?

  6. I'm curious about your creative process and how you make your journals so organized! Do you have a video on that? I've loved your animations! It's nice to see you dive into something you're passionate about after Autodale. Been watching the dinosaur related animations with my brother, and we love them! Keep up the passion!

  7. Ngl, I'd kill for a full movie about this series. It would be one hell of a project to undertake, but if you could get other people to work on it with you, it would take the workload off of you quite a bit.

  8. 1. What animals live in the Solari Sands?
    2. What-if-Scenario: The rule of No Killing Your Own. The Bluesongs bring in another SoliSaurian and Taurox is forced to fight him/her. What happens?
    3. I agree with the world building line. Mainly because when it comes to making an actual plot for a story that is mostly original, I struggle. For example, my. . . I guess you can call it baby is an ongoing series where basically almost every Kaiju/monster movie exists on one Earth. Godzilla and his Pantheon have domain over East Asia, Gamera in the Mediterranean, Ultraman mainly in the United States, etc. I've made 4 chapters- 3 prologues and one proper chapter. But I've made lots of profiles on various kaiju that exist there. If you want to know more, just ask.
