  1. 15:00 nah, GWs thinking is that enough peeps really really want the newest kill team force that they'll rush out and buy the $200 box set just for one of the forces in it. I think we all know several people who do just that. The terrain is only there to give an excuse to artificially charge ridiculous prices. Basically people are paying $200+ for one force of 10 guys so they don't have to wait for them to release individually.

  2. That's what happens when the game stops being an actual game and turns into nothing more than a Pay wall for 40k content. I loved KT during the 1st season, but it's become nothing but a vehicle to sell boarding actions and early models to 40k armies. What a bummer.

  3. It's okay if you like the terrain theme in the boxes and don't have much terrain. Otherwise, totally agree. Nobody needs that much bamboo. I want both the new Warcry armies but will wait for the separate releases.

  4. Practically instant "out of stock online" report. All the hype for the new Kill Team set and bang, not available. So if I want the Arbiters figures it's going to be what, six months, til the individual sets are released.

Wanna bet in a few days there will be eBay sellers selling individual figures at a premium price as well as individual terrain pieces at huge markups. Sellers with no interest in the game grabbing sets and making insane profits. And GW is encouraging this.

Eff It. I'm out. GW can forget any more trade from me.

  5. How do we know when the boxes will be limited print? It seems my pile of shame is devalued because I buy the odd boxes such as catacombs and moroch 🤣

  6. 40k collectors craze is a very weird new phanomenon. Sadly my husband likes it very much and is always sad to miss a nice box because you can t sit before the computer all day to catch the right moment to buy.
For me its nicer because i collect vampires and some trolls and goblins for painting purposes and those are less likely to be sold out so fast. And ohhhh those damn high prizes 🙁 I don t like games workshop limited edition strategy. If you are not wealthy you miss out because you can t react that fast.

  7. You fight scalpers by making stuff consistently available! GW don't give 2 f£^%ks about scalpers, they deliberately make things limited to fuel FOMO and rip us off. So nearly done with buying GW ☹️

  8. If they’re having supply chain shortages, they just need to start a sprue recycling program – they’d have infinite sprue goo.

Also, WTF about the US cost of GW, relative to the UK cost. The currency is no longer 1:2

  9. Agreed on the GW special characters blisters, I really like some too but never going to buy them at that price point. And with the upcoming price increase some are even going up to 50$, crazy. That said did get Inquisitor Greyfax but she was 30$, about the high end for character I "must have".

  10. Best Warhammer/gaming videos online! Keep up the great work! Always watch while building and painting. My son Oliver (15) and I are big fans! All the best, Dan and Oliver, Wales, (land of the real dragon!) United Kingdom.

  11. I'm assuming the scalper changes are coming as part of the global website rework. Be interesting to see if that can help with these distribution problems too, as it is sounding like a while tech stack rework including inventory management etc

  12. You're the second celebrity person this week I've heard struggle with pronouncing arbites… they made a video about this! Look on the Warhammer channel. They literally show you how to pronounce it!

  13. GW is the classic story of a company captured by Wall Street (quarterly myopia). They are pricing people out. But that isn't the whole story. They are doing it in the Era of 3D printing with players looking for variety in gaming. They would rather put $ 500 into 4 games than $2000 into one. There strategy is based upon customer churn. It doesn't matter if 10 people quit, as long as 11 people start. Thus FOMO, and hype. If only 9 people start, that is the beginning of a death spiral. Keep in mind most Fortune 500 companies don't last 30 years.

Inflation isn't going away any time soon. There are macro headwinds that The Fed don't control

  14. Hasbro's stock price hasn't dropped because of WotC, if anything it's the only thing buoying their bottom-line earnings and therefore their stock price. This is just fake nerd rage being spread by the Magic community because they're upset that the company isn't doing things exactly the way they want. Hasbro's price has, ironically, dropped because every product line OTHER than Magic has been struggling.
