The search team that found Kiely Rodni’s body and car underwater in a California lake said the scene looked “extremely suspicious.” The Law&Crime Network’s Angenette Levy is joined by Doug Bishop from “Adventures with Purpose,” the search team who found her, to discuss what he saw that day.

  1. I believe that her body and the vehicle was kept somewhere until the killers figured it was safe to put it in the water. What they need to be looking for is somebody out of that party crew that has a vehicle hauler that can haul a vehicle and dump it in that lake. Maybe someone that owns a business that has a towing company. This is the reason that law-enforcement did not find the vehicle in the beginning.

  2. Her so called friend , had given a statement saying “ we were both very intoxicated “ blah blah blah …
    Some friend !!
Why didn’t she just stay with her ??
Why would she let her go off by herself driving intoxicated?!?
Either that girl is involved or she knows more than what she is saying .
I mean did she really have to stress how intoxicated she was ???
    I don’t know …
Sounds like a cover up .
Not to try and sound funny at all but it reminds me of “ I know what you did last summer “….
When the kids who committed a serious crime all vowed that “ we will never mention this again “.
    Just sounds fishy .

  3. This is not a good interviewer. Didn't she watch AWP's dive video? She didn't know what windows were open/broke? Repeatedly asked questions he couldn't answer, and kept leading too heavily towards an accident, rather than just being neutral and letting the guest's answer be what they are.
Doug did a great job with the interview.

  4. It will be interesting to see the toxicology. Like if she was drugged. If she was drugged with Ruphinol (sp?) She would not have been able to escape the car. I was "ruffied" before and fell off a seawall into less than a foot of water and couldn't get up. My friend jumped in and saved me. I remember thinking "OMG, I CAN'T STAND UP, I'M GOING TO DIE!!" So even if the windows were open she wouldn't have been able to get out the window or even find them in the dark. Here's what I think happened with the car. IF she did drive in… and was drugged, maybe she did go to the back hatch but when she got there, the car flipped, then when she tried to open the hatch, it wouldn't be able to stay open for her to get out because of being upside down, the water would be pushing AGAINST it. Just a thought.

  5. Well if she was driving home and just consider her being intoxicated with all those woods around I would think it would be very difficult difficult to navigate even if she was familiar with the area in the dark there's no street lights back there so you have to take that into consideration and again Maybe being intoxicated she thought was a road turned into that found out it wasn't but kept on driving hoping to get to the main road and it just dumped into the water and as we know it's very difficult to get out of a vehicle when it is submerging especially if she had electric windows they would have locked…

  7. I've been following this case for awhile. Condolences to the family. I would not give up into finding out what really happened, if I were a family member. Someone at that party of hundreds knows something and is keeping tight lipped. A car just doesn't roll into the water without making a sound that no one else would see or hear.
