  1. Patriarchy!!!! It says Shut up and deal with! Be quiet and just hold your head down! I had questions on top of questions and was told the same thing. I got so used to drama on jobs I had to those moments too Rashida of having one co worker at least two jobs were we would get away by lying saying we were going to decompress from the job. Then I was isolated by a supervisor (black woman) because she didnt want me to collaborate with others out in the field. She also would spy on me through other people to see what time I would arrived or would go to a meeting at all out in the community. So I had haters I didnt even know about and I found out many of these folks hung out after work and so forth.
PS I love sisterhood exhibited here!

  2. Whoa, I felt so much of this. That whole thing of "just figure it out/we'll penalize you for not having it figured out/we won't share info/lick the residue from the corner of my left boot and pretend to like it…whoa.

  3. I would LOVE for Miss Roshida to be my lawyer. She is SHARP! They treat us black women (and black people in general) the way they do on these jobs because they're taught that we are to be treated like children. They believe our intellect and competence is below average, which is why they feel the constant need to "check" us. They hate when we do something better than them too and will look for any way to bring us down a notch.
