Nick’s political takes are the worst. Hes already decided who needs to listen to him and why they need to hear it. As if hes always right 100% of the time. I would love for Nick to be objective for once when it comes to politics but that will never happen.

Nice was spot on with the race in sports. Sports have always intersected with social and political issues. To pretend like they don't is a tell-tale sign of privilege like Nick said. Marginalized populations don't have that luxury to ignore social/political issues.

Love the show and Nicks takes on all things especially the ones outside of sports but he's wrong with the plumber thing. JJ was referring to the qualifications of being a professional athlete back then to modern standards, he's the one inferring that its towards race to fit his own narrative, which is what JJ was talking about narratives that aren't based in reality. PS JJ Redick most hated college basketball player of all time.
I think Alex Caruso flew under the radar for many people because he was with Lakers. And Lakers fan gas up their players so much it's hard to determine their potential until you sit and watch yourself for a longer period of time.
If Perk’s point was not to imply racism as Nick claims, then he did an incredibly poor job expressing himself. And when responding to JJ, he didn’t do himself any favors.

With regards to the email – imho Nick is great because of his takes / analysis like the Ja segment, the Tom Brady fatherhood segment, etc. Although Nick obviously knows a lot about sports, I don't watch for the breakdown of the intricate X's and O's and advanced analytics, where he really excels is helping discuss the storylines, narratives, historical contexts, etc., surrounding sports which ABSOLUTELY includes the politics of it. It's insane to talk about the Ja situation in a vacuum without some mention of guns and culture.
On an aside, the entitlement of writing into a successful sports analyst to TELL him how to run a show because it made you a teensy bit uncomfortable is amazing.

It’s not that Jokić is getting favoritism because he’s white is that he’s getting favoritism because everybody the boss is in love with analytics and he’s like the analytics God on office that’s the problem and they refuse to look at defensive analytics. It’s mostly just offensive analytics they look at.
Not sure if he'll ever do it or if it'll get approved but I would love for him to discuss this topic onto a bigger audience such as the herd with Colin or even ftf. It's something that is getting shut down and not getting the attention it deserves and ppl are calling for perks job at times.
