  1. The letters demonstrate a relationship between mental development and writing. I’m convinced that the importance of communicating oneself via the written word resulted in people having a more intentional relationship with words and using a broader vocabulary. God forbid you don’t use a colloquial word today…folks will call you “too formal” as if it using descriptive and alternative words was an insult and social faux pas. (Simple language for simple minded people, imo.)

  3. I loved this movie. Great job Tyler Perry, Kerri Washington, and Ebony Obsidian. I know it's been said many times, but it's so sad that these heroic women were overlooked for so long. I'm grateful to Tyler for bringing national attention to their hard work, diligence, and "can do" attitudes. THANK YOU!

  4. As a black man, I'm ashamed to say I've never knew this history. The powers that be of this world did a good job hiding alot of our history from us. The Bible says the earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof.
