I love these kind of games but I don't like when all the crafting is just static menus. I need immersive animations and sound. My rule when building a game: Animate EVERYTHING.
You said Farming and ranching. Count me in 👌
9:06 Friends of mine used to raise goats, and in the goat pasture they also had a steer named Uncle T-Bone. They got along well. From what they said, Uncle T-Bone would even drive off the odd coyote.
is it me or does the goblin plate give off Goblin Slayer vibes ?
This looks pretty cool…..reminds me a little of tibia or other similar games. Though the crafting is more minecraft/terrariaish.
Splat… Please install "airlocks" on your animal pens.
You use them to lock the animals in areas instead of air in areas.
I love ya, you knucklehead!
Id say its more like Starbound than Terrarira since we have to go to different "Floors" (planets in Starbound) all the time for new resources the pacing is slow just like Starbound, it also has that back and forth with NPCs as StarBound.
Whats up guys and gals is what i click on the videos for 😀
Fun fact: A baby cow is called a hoofling.
I bought this game a long time ago. It was severely lacking at the time. I might have to pick it back up and see what's new. It looks like a lot has been added.
I know this doesn't apply to splat but be aware that the boss fight at the end of the game is solo only. So if you do play coop you can't finish it that way.
This feels more like the bastard child of Rimworld and Elona than Terraria, really… except exponentially more sane.
time to try this again… bought it long ago.. and forgot about it.. looks interesting
Sliding horse is off-putting
Gives me RuneScape vibes.
im pretty sure u can craft an ore scanner
huh. the fast "goo tigers" look like half life Ichthyosaurs
I added this game to my wishlist when SplatterCat first did a video about it while I wait for a mac port, I can't believe I've been following him for over a year now!
The teleporters are everywhere. They've been in the game since before the game went mainstream. Also, the elf and human villages will have a teleporter in them as well. If you can find the mining elevator merchant/smith, you can buy/build a bunch of mining elevators and place them next to the various teleporters. This gives you multiple ways in and out of the underground. You still have to pay for each floor, but it's MUCH BETTER than the $%#$%#$% stair tool.
SplatterCat! SUGGESTIONS AND TIPS:
1. You should build your single player base on the Uninhabited Island in the teleporter. It's your own private sanctuary that follows your character from one realm/planet to the next. I think it even follows you to multiplayer play. (Have not tested that.)
2. Instead of roasting the meat, look at making the recipes on the stoves. They fill you up better than roasted meat and will often give you other buffs.
3. You can make multiple characters and play on the same maps. Anything you place on the map stays for all characters.
4. Have not tried multiplayer. If you got a free evening, we can give it a go.
This game has caught my eye more than once but the one thing that puts me off is it is NOT open ended like Terraria. Terraria you can just go on playing forever whereas I keep reading that Keplerth is story driven and has an "end."
To any Keplerth pros out there: just how open ended is it? Can I keep playing after the story or does it end there? Can I ignore the story after a certain point of progression just to keep playing the game as a Terraria like?
Thanks.
Similar to Crashlands. Progression based on monsters and boss beating with quest and has kind of a story line to follow but not hugely focused on it.
At first I was confused as to why you were playing Minecraft. 1:00 those initial menus look just like Minecraft.
Re: goats and cows cohabiting. There is a video around of a goat (might be a ram) getting territorial with a cow… It doesn't go well, and not the way you'd think
What's with the rimworld/prison architect walls? Hahaha
Good
this seems truly inspired to 9th dawn games.
""goo tiger" .. that was my nick name in college
Limited time for gaming. I love Rimworld, have 1500hrs in it. Enjoyed multiplayer Terraria, years ago. Would like to give single player a go, basically restarting as a noob. Have Starbound in my mountain of shame (unplayed games).
Do I:
a) get this
b) get the latest Rimworld expansion
c) play Terraria
d) play Starbound
e) something else (I may well have it, unplayed 😬)
Probably the random generator is not hardware independent, for some reason, so when you load the save in a different hardware, even if the seed remains the same, the numeric series changes. But Im just guessing.
Rimworld, the RPG. 😀
How the hell can they get away with graphics SO similar to Rimworld. Literally looks like the same assets for the majority of it. Unreal.
Idk splat I don't think I've seen enough of this game to make a decision on it. Think I need another video on it.
What is the death penalty?
Great video as always.
