  1. As a Compton native, I just wanted to inform you that the local gang tortilla flats whacked out Kendrick Lamar mural who has association with piru gangs down Rosecrans ave I doubt a drake did that you can see the tag “TF” (tortilla flats) and “PK”(piru killa)

  2. What I noticed was on the first day of the drop mad people were hating on it either cause they really didn’t like it or cause they are rage baiters. But every day since the drop more and more people realize the deeper meaning to the lyrics and understand it really isn’t a shit album.

  3. Victims choose getting get robbed over choosing to contribute (to the culture). L'il Wayne, felt entitled, that he was entitled to represent New Orleans at the Super Bowl. Then reality intervened, when Wayne wasn't chosen, instead of taking that rejection or expectation or a sense of entitlement as a reality education, Wayne starts a fight with reality. Instead of girding his loins with the glory of defeat, instead of refusing defeat and working on his counter, his answer, Wayne refuses life's lesson, and looks back instead of insisting on writing the future and writing his New Testament.

Wayne thought. I should have been the one to represent the Super Bowl, and he resents the usurper. But no one is entitled to anything, ever.

Word to Kendrick Lamar…in the wake of your god given inspiration, try to remain humble. Humility is the throne, the rest is hubris…you do, you did know this.

L'il Wayne chose to represent victimhood over representing graciousness and embracing reality / developments and let them inform him. Instead of embracing the opportunity to adapt and grow, L'il Wayne choose a different focus. He chose to complain, choose defeat, rather than choosing to step up, to do, to manifest, to attempt to transcend (sometimes, in the moment, it doesn't seem to work). However, the real artist has got to commit and go. Has to choose to go and defeat whatever you (they) feel, left them behind.

Rare artists, and Kendrick Lamar is one, choose to get out of the way and to channel art. They choose to be true to their own vision, choose to never be a victim, they imagine it, then they do it. They manifest something higher.

It's an integrity, a self belief and a value thing.

But, if after all that, the new David, every now and then, defeats the new Goliath. You have to ask how? Because every now and then, a person, a hero, an artist chooses integrity. Yeah, integrity, fancy that… and they live, create and stand by that North Star.

So be guided by the North Star and do not confuse yourself with the North Star.
