Reunion Premieres Wed., May 1 at 8/7c

Dance Moms follows children’s early steps on the road to stardom along with their doting mothers all under Abby Lee Miller’s discerning eyes. Presenting a powerful cast of characters, the show immerses itself in the highs and lows surrounding dance competition season, delivering a captivating and dramatic look at the cast’s intense pursuit of National Dance titles. Centered on the devoted Miller, who runs Abby Lee Dance Company with an iron tap shoe as she instructs her young, talented students while also dealing with impassioned mothers who go to great lengths to help their children’s dreams come true, Dance Moms is about what really goes on behind-the-scenes in the fast-growing and controversial sport of competitive dance.

  1. as someone who grew up with these girls literally I’m crying with them. the way things are shown blinded me as a kid viewing this. Now at 22 I’m so aware of their emotional state and their professionalism in order to voice their opinions on this and especially Nia for passing up on this interview. I love these girls ! Edit: also for Melissa for pulling her girls out when she knew it was getting to a point. I appreciate how Maddie and Kenzie found new mediums to follow and not stay trauma bonded to dance, like Kendall said it’s crazy how dance could get like this and how it affected them.

  2. I can see why some of the girls didn’t want to be apart of the reunion. It seemed like such a traumatizing time for them and it’s just opening memories and wounds.

  3. Thankful the show is over. Why restart? The moms could have taken their girls to another studio. The moms were horrie to keep their daughters on the show. Money and fame hungry. Kristi is and was HORRIBLE!! SO EMBARRASSING. Chloe was ho hum.

  5. kendall had so much anxiety on the show as a child and i can't imagine how hard that would be as a child to have that televised. i think she was wrongly portrayed as a brat, when she was just a sweet little girl who had anxiety and didn't know how to express her emotions 🙁

  6. The way they tried to make Ashley the villain and gang up on her when they were even worse to Brynn is crazy. “People who will always do things like that” when you started antagonizing a child first? I have zero sympathy. Cry, and keep crying.
