When you breed fear in the masses by restricting freedom of speech on social media, with Stasi style arrests, super quick convictions and unreasonable jail terms. You create fear! This fear is not productive, for the desired effect of a panicking Government. This fear will stifle the masses on social media! Those with strong feelings and frustration will abandon social media and mobile phone use. They will learn very quickly to organize themselves old school, and set up secret private meetings to vent their opinions. This in turn will create strong bonds among such individuals within these groups, with a perceived common enemy ………………………. the British Establishment and those who enforce it, including Police and the Justice system. Two ways those groups can go 1. Just venting frustration and anger! 2. Active Terrorist Groups. This outcome will be far worse than any comments on social media; and much harder to quell. This in the long term will be a living nightmare for future Governments and could ultimately lead to civil war in the U.K.

I disagree. Looking at the stats from the General Election when only 20% of people actually voted Labour then Starmer has NEVER been popular. It is a sad but true reflection of the dismal condition of our total political elite these days.
