Kayaking to an Island and Solo Hiking | Ultimate Adventure in Arkansas

Join me as I take you on a adventurous hike on Sugar Loaf mountain, an island on Greers Ferry lake in Arkansas. I kayak out to Sugar Loaf mountain and set foot to hike up to the summit. It was an adventurous hike that portrayed views that did not disappoint. After ascending the mountain, I take a swim in the lake and enjoy the final minutes of sunlight.

  1. Such a nice video. You always go to such exciting and peaceful view in your own backyard. We should all reseach our own towns. Arkansas is such a beautiful state with so much to do. Thank you for sharing this very relaxing and great say. Even the hike was great seeing the Armadillo's on the path, and those stairs, wow. At least the trail was wonderfully maintained. Very nice, fantastic views from the top. Reguards to Erica, your other part of your team. God Bless you both and have a great week. Until next time.

  2. I camped at the campground there at the lake , they have a ferry boat you can take over to the mountain , they give you an hour to hike to the top & back down to meet the ferry boat back to shore , it was all I could do to hike that trail to the top & back in a hour , it’s pretty steep at the top .

  4. Cool !!!! You went. This is a really neat adventure. It is pretty steep to get up to the trail, but then it gets better once you meet the trail that goes around the mountain. This is like a National trail and it is crazy how you cannot find out anything about it. I do not remember how I stumbled across it the first time. I am thinking a local told me about it maybe.

  5. Beautiful views from the top! I like that they also provide wooden stairs to make the hiking easier 😊 And I love armadillos! When I did my undergraduate studies in Springfield, MO I never once saw an armadillo, BUT did see many in Texas, so I just thought they were a Texas 'thing.' Beautiful sunset on the lake. Thanks for sharing!
