Writers need to stop ruining origin stories….. Building something in their image that they didn't create is just ego building. The company should put a stop to some of the things they do. Rewriting. Cultural switching either post or pre ….. to fit what ever agenda they have going.
With alternate universes. They exist due to people making different choices. Saying every Iron Lad has to be kang goes against the whole multiverse. Time travel is a mess no matter how they do it too. You can't die because of a loop. yet, then if you had to be iron lad. you can't advance past that time loop per their own logic of everyone became kang. Killing a future kang wanna be would not effect time line. They came from the future. Easy way to insert who you want into current books to replace others. It don't have to even make sense Just say "plucked out of time". Amazing we don't see exiles show up.

There are 2 coherent (logically non-contradictory) consequences of time travel; solipsism and parallel worlds.
Solipsism is the idea that the time traveler is everything and everyone. In Robert A. Heinlein's story "All You Zombies" Heinlein's protagonist creates "himself" by going back in time and arranging for a sex changed version of himself to have sex with "himself" in order to have a baby him. In the end there is only one way this could work; if the protagonist is every character in this story not just "himself". Solipsism implies that variety, difference is an illusion. There are no other souls only one soul: the self created. Creating himself by creating everyone and everything. It's an icky but "coherent" theory. Coherent in the sense of mathematics. Mathematics is self-coherent: it is based on unprovable premises. In other words there are built in assumptions that can never be proven or verified, like Euclid's assertion that lines are made out of points. Points and lines don't exist outside of paper drawings. You cannot find them under a microscope, through a telescope, crossing the street; they are as tangible as Harry Potter or Bugs Bunny. They are assertions posing as facts: fake news, fiction. As a matter of coherency they make perfect sense, provided you believe in the premises. In the case of Euclid you believe there are things called points and that, somehow?, individual points join together to make lines. It is logical, it doesn't contradict itself, but it is non-empirical: it cannot be physically corroborated by the senses. Oh you can draw a line and a point, but have you ever seen a point or a series of points join together to make a line, actually seen it without it being drawn or depicted by someone else? If everyone believes it, like mass hysteria, is it real? Now ask yourself have you ever seen the number 2 or the letter A walking down the street? How about God? Jesus? George Washington? Your mom and dad? Mom and dad are real, just as real as George or Jesus because they can be independently corroborated – witnessed (not drawn) by others through the senses. When it comes to history: George and Jesus, it can get murky because the evidence of existence no longer relies on the actual people just on their legacies or, nowadays, dna. Math too has a legacy, so does Bugs, so do fairy tales and Aesop's fables. The real question of reality is why should we continue propagating the legacy? Unlike the sun 🌞 or the earth 🌎 do they provide continuous heat, light or sustenance? Or is their reality tied to the sustenance of the values they provide, values other than the law of the jungle?
As for parallel worlds good primers are Roger Zelazny's "9 princes in Amber" and Piers Anthony's "Split Infinity". Their major premise? That we can shift lanes, like in a highway, from one universe to another. But isn't that what consciousness already does? According to the writers a pretext is required. A pretext as plausible as any premise of math or figure of history or character of fiction. Plausible, but is it real?
According to apocalypse's origin comic series, Kang is partially responsible for creating the apocalypse we all know and love.
I take it that the tragedy of Kang is that despite his machinations and how far ahead he thinks or how many time he tries for the perfect plan, it always is just going to fail.
Kang's origins is kind of like a paradox, reminds me of a movie i saw awhile back.. a time traveler is his own mother And father.. And a terrorist, that spurred the time travelling in the first place.

Over powered is lame. Thor bets them all. He is Zesus. He is Hades, he is Mars. Thor is more powerful than Odin. Hercules is a one off of Zeus beating Chronos. Only Thor is Zeus, Not Hercules . Hercules would be more of a gilgamesh type or even christ Noah type. Lame story twists. The real is better.
