I went into this movie expecting mass action and clashes between monsters. I went into this movie expecting to see both Godzilla and Kong shine. I went into this movie expecting less human intervention and more focus on Kaijus. I went into this movie expecting to see Mothra return. I got it all. My life is complete 100/10 ⭐
I give it a 6. No higher and I don’t want Adam to direct a third.
Just saw it and loved it
I felt like there was no real threat to Godzilla or kong in this movie. Whereas in GvK, both godzilla and kong got their asses whopped by mechagodzilla and both were close to dying. Godzilla x kong was still decent.. I give it a 6/10..

Watched the movie earlier today, completely agree with the action being not as good/satisfying because of how unbalanced the film was. I’ve never cared for any of the human characters in the monster verse movies, but this movie made it worse with the pacing and not being able to mesh it well with the story. Also Godzilla barely being a side character (if that) was so disappointing
It's about time some coked-up studio nutjob went and made a Kaiju version of Tango & Cash.

Sadly Godzilla King Of The Monsters 2019 was still better I don't know why they still have Adam Wingard as a Director the movie sucked . Micheal Dougherty achieved his film as a true fan also ,I still prefer Godzilla King Of The Monsters 2019 film and Godzilla 2014. The human story should have and ended when Dr Ishiro Serizawa ( Sally Hawkins ) and Dr Vivienne Graham.

Watched it last night and enjoyed it. I get why nobody cares about the human aspect of these movies, but I feel like they serve as an audience surrogate and can explain the lore and conflict between the Titans.
Especially since, y’know, the monsters don’t talk.
The international trailer spoiled it for everyone already and so did the pop figures Mothra and Shimo
I can imagine the script writers who came up with this movie have a lot in common with their fellow writers in the porn industry. They both probably started their pitches off with the climax of the movie, and had to build a sh*tty nonsensical story around it to fill the rest of the run time out… 🤣

GXK ( AKA: Iguanas VS Monkes ) delivered what I expected and wanted, which is a monster-heavy movie. I have no complaints about it.
2014 Godzilla is the best…. everything was on point. Action, story, acting, great cast, music, human element and conflict, real terror etc….
Then 2nd best is Skull Island. Man, what a performance by Samuel Jackson and other casts, story, terror, nature, exploration, perfect balance.
Godzilla King of the monsters is good…but the human element was kind of not that convincing.. other than that, everything was on point, it increased the epicness of Godzilla as a saviour!
The next films are just masala movies, action, cgi, music, entertainment…. Godzilla vs Kong was great in terms of introduction of the conflict, the action….but
this one is no doubt a mindless piece of action. No different than Fast and Furious franchise!
Plus the mythology, human element are not at all convincing!

I had the same exact takeaways from this as you guys and really all the other monsterverse movies. Loved it when the monsters were actually on screen doing stuff and not so much when the humans were. This had a lot more monster stuff so I’d lean more 8.2/10
A movie can be bad, and still be good. This looks like one of those movies.
i dont know anyone who expected any semblance of a story or proper story writing from those trailers. the line and delivery was all you needed to know its just a fun/stupid monster movie where they do monster things

The most annoying humans where the ones making this review, the movie delivered I’m a Kong fan and this movie made me appreciate Godzilla too this movie did the job
The only human characters that I care about is Serizawa, Jia and Trapper 😂😂
