Jurors are deliberating the fate of Rebecca Grossman, a Hidden Hills socialite accused of striking and killing two boys while driving intoxicated in Westlake Village. Grossman, 60, was charged with two counts of murder for the deaths of Jacob Iskander, 8, and Mark Iskander, 11, in a crosswalk in 2020.
Grossman is the co-founder of the Grossman Burn Foundation and the wife of prominent plastic surgeon Dr. Peter Grossman. She faces five charges — two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and one count of hit-and-run driving resulting in death.
On Sept. 29, 2020, the two boys were crossing the street in a marked crosswalk with their parents and siblings at the intersection of Triunfo Canyon Road and Saddle Mountain Drive at around 7:10 p.m. when Grossman allegedly struck them.
The vehicle sped through the intersection and hit the boys “right in front of the parents,” according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department. Prosecutors said she was driving just over 70 mph on a 45 mph street. After a day of deliberation at Van Nuys Superior Court on Thursday, a verdict after the six-week trial is expected soon.

Hit and run whoa? Even if it wasn't hit and run, the reckless speeding shows a callous disregard for the safety of others. Even if it was an accident, never mind the speeding, the hit and run aspect deserves the harshest punishment in my opinion. Hearing this mother's anguish is awful
This is a vehicular homicide , the vehicle is the weapon . Their is no accident when your impaired willingly . You decided to get behind the wheel of a 5000lb vehicle and race while impaired . Once found the vehicle is impounded and wrapped as a piece of evidence , the pictures tell the horrific tale , at least 50 mph , these boys had no chance of surviving , the judge will have to make his judgement on this evidence , their is a conviction.
Sucks because the parents are already old and the 2 boys were their last chance to be parents.

I was recently hit by some idiot who came out of a parking lot . She was making a right hand turn but looking left to see who might hit her. Although I was only about 4ft. from her front bumper the impact was incredibly brutal .Her only comment was that she didn’t see me. I’m not even sure the police gave her a citation. We ,as a society need to take traffic safety much more seriously and get reckless drivers off the road. With the speed the “socialite “ was going the demise of those two beautiful boys must have been quick .

If I was a defense attorney I would not take this case no matter how much money they threw at me. My advise would be to not shame yourself further and pled guilty and throw yourself at the mercy of the court.
Saw this a.m. (Sat. 2/24/24) driver, who was speeding & impaired, was convicted of 2nd degree murder or manslaughter. The intersection was shown also and it was a big, broad, wide intersection so it appears she would have had to aim at them to hit them. Those poor parents must be gutted. Foolish entitled woman should not be able to get out of jail. Not an accident, murder.

If she was a real mother, she would have pleaded guilty and spared both her children and the family of the boys she murderer. The testimony makes the trial even worse for the boy family having to listen to the corners reports. Hope she gets the max.

all of the physical evidence — damage to Grossman's SUV — points directly to her. It's possible she was so blasted on pills, alcohol and stupidity that she has no recollection of the impact. I don't doubt Erickson was also complicit but you don't have enough to convict or even charge him with the crime.
