Jungle Jim's The Theme Park of Grocery Stores & The Real Carey, Ohio from Halloween Horror Nights

Join us as we travel through Ohio and stop at two cool iconic locations as part of our summer 2022 road trip – the original Jungle Jims location, known as the theme park of grocery stores, and the town of Carey, Ohio, inspiration to many Halloween Horror Nights stories and characters! Jungle Jims is full of whacky displays, animatronics, and a HUGE selection of international foods in beautifully themed areas of the store! From vintage animatronics to the hugest pez dispenser collection I’ve ever seen, to Funko Pops to a huge re-creation of Sherwood forest, their famous Jungle Jim’s bathrooms, and just so much more – this is more than a grocery store – it’s an experience! From there, we keep driving through the farms and industrial areas of Ohio to reach the town of Carey, Ohio, a town used as a fictional backdrop to many of the scare mazes, haunted houses, scare zones, characters, back stories and lore of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida! We stroll around and drive around the town to see some sites, take some photos, and enjoy a really beautiful day, before continuing our drive to Sandusky, Ohio! Stay tuned for the next road trip vid, the series is almost coming to a close! Thanks so much for watching!

  1. I love a good themed Supermarket, my supermarket installed an old tractor display where the produce section is and it’s just changes the whole place. I’m jealous of the people who get to shop at Jim’s everyday.

  2. Ha, hilarious you stopped in Carey. We stopped there randomly in 2016 to get lunch on a summer vacation road trip. It's now tradition to stop there every year and let the kids play on the playground for an hour. Random small town with an interesting pop culture connection!!

  3. Have you ever done I video on the Albanese Candy factory Indiana if not
You should definitely make one because you can actually see them making the candy through the windows and it is one of favorite and best candy stores in my opinion and very reasonable prices located in Merrillville Indiana .

  4. Jackie, I've watched your vids off and on after first seeing you on one of Adam the Woo's vids 3 or so years ago. I live in the Dayton area and glad you've made it to Kings Island, Jungle Jims, and Cedar Point. I've been listening to songs on youtube of your old band (collage of 3 people watching a hot air ballooner with mountains and a sunset behind). It sounds like Death Cab for Cutie and the New Pornographers were pretty big influences for your sound.

  6. Jungle Jim’s is INSANE! The over the top theming and massive selection seriously makes it a must see. The Carey stop was cool to see too. I still wonder how much people who live there actually care about the HHN connection lol

  10. Jungle Jim’s can be overwhelming but so fun to explore! I live near there and my husband delivers vitamins there all the time. We come to Orlando all the time (will be there Thanksgiving week this year) if you want us to stock up on any snacks for Sam on the way down let me know 😁 He just seemed so happy!!! 👏👏

  11. Welcome to Ohio, we love jungle Jim’s, such a fun experience.
If you go west of cedar point you should check out Sauders village in archbold. It’s a small historic village and the barn restaurant and dough box bakery are delicious.

  12. When I was a little girl, my family would drive to the farm stand, that eventually became the Jungle Jim’s you saw, to get fresh produce. It’s really amazing how much it’s grown over the course of 40+ years! I’m glad you enjoyed yourself!

  16. Awesome vid but feel the editing or filming would cut off quickly when filming the shelves, at 1 point i was looking at the collectibles or the funkos and boom were in the animitronics section, i know i can pause but lots more vloggers take their time to show things

  17. 👍 I see you got some Vernors (a Detroit original). In Michigan, nothing else is ginger ale, only Vernors. It's the go to drink when you're not feeling well and is absolutely amazing over vanilla ice cream (Boston cooler). So what did you think of it❓
I'm planning a trip to Jungle Jim's and King's Island next summer and will be covering Cedar Point and a drive thru wildlife safari in two weeks. Nice video!

  23. I got excited when you shouted out Albanese. The factory is in northern Indiana a hop skip and a jump away from my little brothers house. Stop by if you ever do a Chicago trip or something! I pick some up for my nephews every visit to be the cool uncle.
