  1. Am I missing something but is it a big deal Pog has a 12 sec lead over Vingegaard? One attack by Vingegaard eats up that lead. Also it doesn't look like he's had to do much work so far. Please correct me if I'm missing something.

  2. Hey Chris, excellent analysis, but just wanted to point out that at the intermediate sprint Jumbo-visma didn't have a choice with van hooydonck, the rest of the team (except 2 guys) got squeezed when uae moved to the left side

  3. I would love if you covered some of the women’s races! I know you are already doing a lot, but would love to hear your thoughts on (for example) the women’s strade bianchi – it was an awesome race, especially the last 15km

  5. That was a very well choreographed plan by UAE for the 6 secs bonus – first they moved left and completely choked off TJV and especially Jonas who was on 4th wheel in the TJV train and so Jonas could not accelerate to follow the UAE attack with Pog led out by Tim Wellens so IMO thats why Jonas did not contest the sprint.
I agree TJV have to make sure they neutralise those sprint bonus secs – there are more coming in the next stages.

  6. A little fun note. I heard interview with Magnus Cort after the race. He shouldn't sprint today. He was holding 2 race jackets under his shirt. When you watch the photo finish picture, you can see him look like a camel 🙂…..and to me he looks like the fastest rider from 500 m to the finish line. WAUW.

  7. Chris, your pronunciations of Fontainebleau and Omloop het Nieuwsblad are terrible, to the extend of being unrecognizable to natives but you make it up with your enthusiasm and cycle tactics. Please replace these audio locations with visable labels.

  8. Thanks for your daily analysis Chris, your insight based on experience makes you a joy to listen to. I got to disagree with you about JV failing, and any other sprinters for that matter. They had other plans, and I can understand why an Olaf Kooij doesn't want to go all-out with Pogacar for 6 seconds. He's afraid it will impact his performance in the final sprint, and this time loss of 6/12 seconds is calculated all things considered. So from their perspective they did not fail in this regard, however they failed to win the stage. Only Pedersen redeemed himself.

  9. Chris; an argument could be made that they all saved themselves for the TTT. Where they can make up a lot more than 6 secs. Jumbo always has a plan; even if we're not privy to it.
