Jrue Holiday drops 35 in Milwaukee Bucks comeback win over Pacers and Khris Middleton talks!

The Bucks needed a big second half to beat the Pacers at home, with Jrue Holiday tallying 35 points and 11 assists. Giannis Antetokounmpo missed another game with knee soreness, with Mike Budenholzer opening the rotation to George Hill and Wesley Matthews. Kane and Frank break down the first half struggles and what changed in the second half. Also, Khris Middleton spoke to The Athletic, but what did we take from the story and what does it mean for a possible return to the court in the near future?

  1. Marjon is really held to a different standard by bud man. Pat and grayson have so many terrible games on BOTH ends and still start the next night. Bud is killing Marjons development and he has the highest chance of helping us win against boston. Pat and Grayson are getting chopped against boston and are damn near unplayable against them. I would love to see what marjon could do on defense against Tatum or brown. JUST ONCE BUD. He could give us good minutes. Give the man consistent minutes atleast when we’re missing key guys rn. This was a golden opportunity for his development on a veteran team and bud is blowing it

  2. To put Giannis in the same boat as Khris with that “these guys just don’t play basketball games anymore” was absolutely ridiculous typical yuck Frank. Dude Carried this team 95% of the year on his usual shoddy knee. The disrespect this man has for Giannis lately is crazy.

  3. Gotta disagree with Frank's "Try hard white guy who won't ever be able to defend" AJ Green assessment. Never in the history of the NBA has there ever been a twenty game rookie who's defensive mistakes weren't due in large part to competing at the highest level of basketball for the first time. To make it sound like Green was everywhere he needed to be but physically incapable isn't accurate to today's game specifically. Green's never played McConnell before and T.J had him twisted in six different different directions. Roast the feisty leprechaun all you want but McConnell is an an 8 year vet as crafty as they come who knows how to go at rookies. At one point Green was called for a soft foul & didn't come with enough force on MCConnell's next drive down. He'll learn and improve, like all rookies do.

  4. Coach Buc will be the next Doc Rivers.A coach that has showed us again and again that he doesnt belong with the best coaches in the league but he keeps a premium job just because he won one championship that it was more about the best players carrying him to it than him helping them to do it

  5. I actually am not worried about our offense. Once Kris gets back and Joe warms up, we'll score lots. I do worry about our defense. Not just the Celtics and Grizzlies games but look at the last 3.50 of the Raptor's game and the first half of Hornets. outscored 112 to 67 in 28 minutes?
Even today's game. First Quarter. Green scores a 3 with 4.4 secs left. The whole world knows they are going coast to coast, but they do it with no resistance, with time left to steal the inbounds and shoot a 3??

  6. I'm starting to have massive concerns about the Buck's ability to keep their core starters healthy going into the playoffs. As an idea of how important this is, in 2021 the Nets came within a toe of beating the Bucks with their 2nd best player out, and their 3rd best player limited by a hamstring injury. It isn't just being healthy, it's having enough time together as a unit to be effective. Timing is so hard to build when starters are hurt. At this point I would predict that if Giannis, Khris, Jrue and Brook do not have a solid month together going into the play offs, they will get bounced early.

  7. My ESSENTIAL and entirely necessary comment is below 😁
    1. There has been a theme since that demoralizing game v hornets where G scored 9 (in 22 mins exiting with injury). They have been attempting to put up 3s and avoiding scoring in the paint. They are also passing/moving the ball more. It needs practice, but this game time immersion is working… they are improving their playmaking as a team. They are improving whole-team-involvement.
    2. The cheeky and abhorred comment by frank on giannis: load management is a sports-science-backed phenomena that is an evidence-based injury-prevention approach. Why the hell are we jabbing players for completing–often management and coaching dictated–rest? High scorers endure a disproportionate amount of contact and have a significant risk of injury during some vulnerable stretches of contests. In reference to Giannis specifically, I can't name one other player who is more aggressively guarded and contested than Greek. Due to size and failure to flop, much of this contact goes uncalled (I don't complain because much of his offensive contact also goes uncalled 😊).
    3. Frank so disheartened and agitated by our bucks being slow and lazy and unskilled–he's taking jabs left and right on our roster. Leave the guys alone 😭😭 they're perfect how they are 😡 (jk but fr leave them alone).

In closing, let's think positive here. Drop the Excessive and uncalled for pessimism. We are 3rd on a hobbled roster with weird coaching choices and frequent load management (which is basically preservation for the post season). I view our team as experienced and resilient. Looking forward to middletons mythical return and hoping G can slap a bag of ice on the knee today and be on the court in typical 32-12-5 form.

  8. Bucks should’ve made the off-season adjustments last season after the game seven lost to Celtics 🤷🏾‍♂️. Obviously it’s easier to say this because of how the season has progressed. But I’d argue that these issues were there last season in the playoffs. This team collectively has hit its ceiling in every statistical category. And I just think it’s fools Gold to believe Giannis(whose taking a beating this season at almost 13 free throws a game) can carry this squad at this pace with the poor threepoint shooting out there surrounding him. Buck must make some off season trades moves and look to next season. They’ll take an L to a better team in the second round. I wouldn’t bet money on conference finals or nba finals as well

  9. Frank Madden doesn't like Nwora whether he or plays good or bad. That's very hateful thing to acknowledge on air. Guess what your Marjon will end up being a burst. And yeah, we love AJ Green too. He's a good sniper.
