Jon Stewart on Butker, Conservative "Outrage" & The Real Cancel Culture | The Daily Show

Jon Stewart dives into Harrison Butker’s controversial speech, the subsequent Fox News outrage that he’s being canceled, and how the real purveyor of cancel culture is Donald Trump and the MAGA movement, who censor and silence any Republican who dare criticize their boy King. #DailyShow #CancelCulture #HarrisonButker #JonStewart

  1. Jon, you're really riding that propaganda line. For a minute, I couldn't tell if I was watchinh The Daily Show or a typical TYT video crying about the right while playing the victim

  2. Why is Seinfeld being taken to task? Most recently, for whining about "woke-ism" ruining comedy, but more importantly for openly endorsing an ongoing genocide. That small fact aside, people are getting wise to what the industry knew and accepted decades ago – that he's a major creep (dating a teenager when he was 38, icky excerpts from his 1993 book "SeinLanguage", etc).

  3. Ali Siddiq here! Please check out The Domino Effect series. They are 4 independently produced and self-financed comedy specials on YouTube. They have outperformed 99% of the comedy specials that the big streamers have released. And they’re just better content. Go see for yourself

  4. The sad thing about watching this is how group think still stops commenters from focusing on the evident problems. Of course the censorship and outrage problem is everywhere. The values imposition problem too. If we keep trying to make the other side the bigger threat, it will just escalate. Need to focus on the whats and not the whos. We should all agree that Fox News, DEI and (at least some) unions are all horrible. And having Biden-Trump as candidates is not progress.

  5. Butker's mother, Elizabeth Butker, is a medical physicist at Emory University in Atlanta. She has been at the university since 1988 and works in Emory's Winship Department of Radiation Oncology. Keller spent as much as 35 years as a medical physicist at the prestigious Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University in Atlanta. She earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry in 1985 and later earned a master's.
While blazing a career in physics, Keller raised two children, including Harrison and his older sister Charlotte, who played soccer at Emory. All that completely contradicts Butker's view that women should focus on marriage and raising a family rather than enjoying productive careers like their male counterparts.

  6. He's right about the outrage and media, obviously. But all his other points are thin and wrong. It would be so easy to just walk through point by point and dismantle everything he says without even thinking hard.

He's just here for the laughs. Don't read too much into it, folks. It's just comedy. Don't take his political speak seriously.

  7. One of my favorite activities when I watch tv is hitting the mute button every time Jon Stewart appears in a commercial promoting his miserable show. I really find it satisfying to be able to shut him up so I don’t have to listen to his miserable lies and really bad comedy.
