Johnny Depp trial fireworks: Amber Heard expert combative during fiery cross-examination

Johnny Depp’s attorney put Amber Heard’s expert psychiatrist Dr. David Spiegel on the hot seat during cross-examination in the former couple’s defamation trial. Dr. Spiegel appeared to get very frustrated with the line of questioning and accused the lawyer of going around in circles. The attorney and witness went back and forth and appeared to get combative with each other.

  1. This guy is a friggin joke LoL😂😂😂😂 I can't believe that this guy is a part of the medical field. He looks like the mad scientist from Back to The Future. He's weird as well. It doesn't surprise me that this guy is a part of ATURDS team of witnesses

  2. What are we basing "Red Flag "laws on a guy like this? Anyone who comes in contact with him or anyone remotely like him is in big trouble. This guy is a so called "Hired Gun " . Anybody who comes in contact with him or is of his beliefs. Everyone is in trouble who comes under his influence. The Mental health system is already being scrutinized when people have a negative opinion about it all they have to do is look at individuals like this.

  3. Now we know which timeline the Delorean landed in. Christ!!
Saying that, he was very entertaining. Sort of like that crazy relative that shows up from time to time and blows your mind with a totally irrelevant take on a conversation he knows nothing about.

  4. As a MD (not Psy so do not belong to this professional association) but felt he was unethical in the rendering of a professional opinion. The reason you can review medical charts, notes, nuclear imaging, etc and present a finding or render a diagnosis is because the patient has agreed to allow this to happen. Otherwise, as in this psychiatrists case, he is being granted access to confidential documents without the consent of the patient. It went even further, as the Court agreed that Mr. Depp was not required to undergo any examination nor grant privileged information to this doctor.

  5. Someone with a butterfly net is looking for this man, this man must of gone to funeral parlour and took the suit of the corpse and now impersonating a psychiatrist. He ain’t a member of APA American Psychiatric Association he is patient of Athens Lunatic Asylum.

1 more thing I found it hilarious when he said I’m getting into my character.

  6. “Sir, I have no idea what an actor does” perjury anyone? Blatantly lies, and instead acts like he’s the god-given chosen one to put everyone else in their place compared to his knowledge.

  7. OMG!! He's so arrogant!! Talking over Depp's lawyer like that!! If he just spent that much time working on his hair and working on his personality…..good Lord….he can't even understand the question, because he sits there talking loud and so " what I say is law"… shut the hell up and listen to the question instead shouting over everyone and I say everyone because he probably does this every day….I'd hate to be his patient!!

  9. "This is my chance to show everyone how smart I am" <- is this guy's mission. He never answer anything that could help the lawyers that hired him. He was into debating and winning.

  11. Seems to me a far stretch to use the misleading term "Expert" to describe this buffoon. This curmudgeon with some kind of disorder himself going on is anything but a formidable expert. He is better geared to render some Tim Burton movie character like as a crazy mad scientist who came back from the dead Zombie-style after accidentally infecting himself with Ebola during a lab accident or something. Did Amber find this guy on an LA street corner in a low income area while he was walking home for a bar? Or was it she found him at a public bus stop after her 2nd bottle of wine for the night when she was out with an Uber in the low income areas she knows so well while looking for her cocaine? Great pick up Amber. You really got the street cred going on if nothing else. We se you really vetted your own witnesses well. That creepy Reptilian Freudster looked like he was trying to use his lizard forked tongue to discreetly catch Amber's flies coming to him off of her while he was testifying. He's very unsettling to watch and to look at – his ICK FACTOR is super high for sure!!! Believability factor for this wierdo is sub ZERO.

  13. What I love about this lawyer is that he is always calm, polite and very knowledgeable about whatever subject the witness he’s questioning is supposed to be an expert in. So he starts slowly and you can see the witness relaxing thinking this is going to be easy – until, bang, he starts with the searching and pertinent questions! Compare that to 15 minutes of fame Elaine and did I read that right Rottenborn.
