John Williams’ iconic movie soundtracks are among the best-loved of all time, one of the most memorable themes being “Imperial March” from Star Wars. For this special, previously unreleased version of the “Imperial March” John Williams conducted himself and teamed up with the outstanding Boston Symphony Orchestra.
Deutsche Grammophon releases ‘John Williams in Concert’, a beautiful 7-LP limited edition that presents John Williams conducting his own works with Anne-Sophie Mutter and four of the world’s finest ensembles – the Saito Kinen Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Berliner Philharmoniker and Wiener Philharmoniker, alongside the “Imperial March” in versions by all four orchestras, on a 12-inch Darth Vader picture disc.
