You guys need to check out the original 'What About Me' by Moving Pictures.
My heart full of sadness. John is going through a very hard time. This video made my cry so hard. I had the privilidge to meet him has his arm around me on the photo on my fridge so I never ever forget that special day (Edgell Birds Eye packaging relaunch). He gave us a mini concert I will never ever forget it. Love you John so much. Your music, voice and personality is amaizing. I often re watch videoes especially love the clip from "Hey hey its Saturday" when you sang with Tom Jones. If people never seen that is a MUST. Please GET WELL JOHN.π€©ππππ
We qill never see our talented Farnsey sing in concert again. Breaks my β€οΈ
Have you reviewed Farnsey, Vanessa Fields and Lindsay Field soinf Amazing Grace? Bloody legendary
lady wolf hunter,. the visual rollercoaster of emotion from your facial expressions really brought it home for me.
the best voice there ever has been ( except Elvis )
John's voice can not be beat.
John Farnham has been such a blessing to Australia for so long because of his singing prowess !!! It's so good to see the World is witnessing his talent after all this time !!!
Our wonderful John Farnham is truly remarkable & so adored here in Australia ππ
Why is it, when Americans do a Reaction Video, they Have a Huge Bobble Head…
Instead of the Video Filling Sceen They Have Their Fat Heads…
Put yourself in the Corner, Like Normal People Do…
My π has just pushed through my chest, almost. Why does this song , sound so good, Y'ALL??? John's Voice is Truly, Heartfelt β€οΈ
Goosebumps β₯οΈπ¦πΊ
If you have never been to one of his concerts. He is funny as hell. Takes the Mickey out of his mother in law. And I'm not singing that bloody song. Sadie lol Think I've seen him 4 or 5 times and it was always brilliant.
Literally chills from that one. Stunning. All the best John Farnham, I hope your recovery goes well.
You just canβt un-hear his voice and from now on there is a new standard.
Queen hunted him after Feddie died , offered him a shit load but he wouldn't leave Australia.
Soldiers Heart very misunderstood. Doctors best explanation is the sudden burst of Adrenalin that soldiers receive when involved in moments of battle and then that burst fades away only to be replaced with another burst of Adrenalin in their next engagement. This continuas and at many times unexpected ( IE ambush) has a terirble effect on your heart. After WW1 and WW2 Vietnam etc it was found that veterans were dying of unexpected heart attacks at a relatively young age ' in their late forties and early fifties. Doctors found that repeated Adrenalin rushes affected the way the muscles in the heart works. Hence the term soldiers heart is term that scares the shit out of a lot of Vets.
Video wuld be great, if video, was Big, and your Fat Heads Where Small…
Iβm sorry, Iβm Australian but is he not the best voice ever?!
damm americans are look at me wankers…
go away you nobs..
This was 2003 I think so John would have been 53, still sounding incredible. ππ
With your Videos can ypu make The Vidoe Large, and Your Stupid Bobbing Heads Small for F Sake…
Enjoy the Best, Look at Me Wankers on Youtube, your Band Sucks..
Thanks so much for your recreation his our best singer in Australia and many others too.
Steve Preswich…RIP..
Now you know why we call him 'the voice' …
John Farnham sings to your heart…. It is impossible not to be moved by his performances. Add to that the fabulous guitar craft and the work of all the band and his backup singers and he makes this song deeply moving… Congratulations on your reaction to this brilliant performance… π
Suzie, I haven't heard the term "soldiers' heart" before. What you said though makes a lot of sense.
John has a chubby face. I wonder if this was when he gave up smoking and gained weight for 5 minutes. When I stopped I gained weight all over for about 6 months. John was a heavy smoker, he and his wife, Jilly decided to give it up on the same day. I saw an interview where he was asked about that. He told us that no one could talk to either of them for 2 weeks. That would have been funny. Love that voice. Thank you.
incredible!!! What voice!!!!
Wow, thank you so much guys, what an awesome story about the soldier it really makes this song even more poignant for me to really think about the background, it's not only a beautiful ballad to listen to but has a deep meaning behind it. Another thing is that the same goes for many people battling hard knocks in life, like wounded warriors and coming out the other side a changed person, never the same again, but with all those mixed emotions.
When you said about him putting everything he has into the performance, I agree. I also think this is why every person trying to cover his songs fails even though they might technically be good singers. If you want to cover his songs, you need to give absolutely everything you have to it otherwise it falls short on the emotional side, this is why I don't even bother listening to anyone trying to cover them anymore
You need to react to Redgum singing I was only 19
John had an insane limit
thank christ that performance was filmed
I always feel this song in my gut. The third verse is visceral.
This just completely breaks a person down, through the heart and soul. Wow, it doesn't matter how many times I hear him sing this, it is beyond words, the voice, the song, the emotion, the whole perfect arrangement. It's sublime music beyond music.
Love that one of our best singers is finally being seen by others from other countries. John put his wife and sons first when he had the chance yo go international. We have been very lucky to have him all to ourselves. He is a beautiful person going thru a bit of bad health but we pray our John will be back on stage soon. Love You John
