Job 42:10-17 Job's Restoration to Life

At the close of the book, God blesses Job’s life more than He blessed the part prior to the afflictions. Certain hints in the text suggest that these blessings were given through natural means (God directing people and animals) and that this did not come from nothing. But we should not focus on the abundance. Job’s speeches never cared about it. He only wanted a restored relationship with God. Abundance can show God’s blessings but the true blessing of God is to live in faith with Him. The true treasure pointed at in this passage is that all of it is pointing not to abundance in this world but in the paradise to come. We await the fullness of blessing in the resurrection. There we will be able to see God face to face and dwell with Him forever.
