  1. This is what I've always said about "Montreal..", nevermind everything else, it was about Vince putting his foot down. "I made this guy a star, he's going to leave and make more money but he's giving me lip about what he's gonna do on his way out? Nope!" The rest is just a smoke screen. Vince is a control freak and anybody who's followed the WWE knows that!

About Danny Davis' return to referee status, I remember Monsoon saying something about Davis being "on probation…".

  2. I think everyone missed the point

The documentary showed that the Mr mcmahon character was actually just reliving things that happened to.him growing up..through kayfabe storyline. The lines became so blurred ..that there's a good chance Vince himself doesn't know what was reality and what wasn't at this point. …at first I was slightly disappointed. The longer I think about it…the more I feel that it's better than we realize…

Try to find out anything about Vince or his dad's childhood. It's crickets…

I think the point was we don't know who Vince is…because he doesnt.know who Vince is.

  3. I am watching episode 3 right now and I just needed a place to vent. WE ALL KNOW THAT BRET JUST DID NOT WANT TO LOSE TO THE PRICK DOUCE BAG SHAWN! WTF? Why do they got to make Bret look like the asshole?

  4. I haven’t watched a second of the doc, but I haven’t missed an episode review. Matter of fact, I doubt I’ll watch the series, I’m content with Jim’s review. Sounds like it’s probably a lot more informative than the doc itself.

  5. Pretty sure it was Valiant. Danny Davis is 11 years younger than Vince-Vince graduated military school at 19 years old in 1964, at which point Davis would have been 8 years old. Valiant did talk about some prank backfiring-he got booted out, but Vince was allowed to stay due to his dad being rich.

  6. I always thought the turning point in "The Monday Night Wars" was the night Mick Foley/Mankind won the WWE title on RAW (w/Tony Schiavone spoiling the match on Nitro). They didn't even mention that in this episode.

  7. Vince McMahon, killer of the handshake, complaining about not honoring handshakes not made. Vince McMahon, amusing distraction to the man who owns most of New Mexico, spinning the narrative to make people think Billionaire Ted was out to get him after failing to live up to his promises to Turner and giving Turner a television program that bombed in the ratings while inundating the super station with complaints from angry wrestling fans.

People might be complaining about this documentary series being inaccurate, for being too soft on Vince Junior, and from many angles they might be right, but I think it has exposed more than enough about why so many wrestling fans dislike him and WWF.

  8. The only members of The Clique I really like are Shawn Michaels and Scott Hall, just for how good in the ring they were, and even they were a couple of perpetually addicted fuckups who got way too many chances. I like them all more than Vincent K McMahon, however.
