Mike Jones.
Who?
MIKE JONES!!!
Who?
Virgil.
Oh.
He was in his 70’s and had dementia. The problem is mfs didn’t know how old he really was. So no the internet stuff wasn’t a master stroke by his team, it was a mental thing brought on by age.
He was on the card at the first WWF house show I ever attended back in 1992. Talented athlete and always seemed like a genuine good guy. God speed, Mike Jones!
May the lines for a Virgil autograph signing be full in heaven. He’s lonely no more.
R.I.P. to the original West Texas Redneck… Curly Bill
I remember a video a year or two ago where he had his balls out on an instargram video.
Jim had the solution for promoting the meat sauce. It just needed to be the secret ingredient on Iron Chef.
Meatsauce Mafia 4-Life!
His grave is going to be covered in expired Olive Garden coupons.
Bobby Heenan was who gave Virgil his name in both WWF and WCW. He suggested Virgil as a Dusty rib and everyone loved it. When they brought him to WCW, Bobby was already there. I think it was Dibiase who said “hey Bobby you named him last time, what’s his name this time?”
“Vincent.”
I love that a condolences/reflection for Virgil became a cheap plug for Raycon, and that Brian actually played along this time instead of the classic "NOOOOOOOO….." to Jim. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Anyone from Pittsburgh will tell you that it wasn’t uncommon to see Mike around pittsburgh, West Virginia & Ohio at conventions & whatnot. He was always up for a conversation. He would be at the Rogers, Ohio flea market a lot during the summertime. Was always up for talking wrestling & just shooting the breeze.
Had NO idea he passed. That's really sad, he was a great character and one of the original memes if you recall.
Will forever go down in history for the rumored size of his member.
Using a dead wrestler to shill some headphones ? Karny Shills.
Olive Garden is pretty dope TBF. RIP Virgil.
Sending Virgil off with the year's most fire ad, lol crazy
As much as I love this show, this ad transition was in poor taste. That would be like if they were talking about the Holocaust and then Brian says, “But speaking of gas ovens…”
I always thought them calling him Vincent had to be a knock at Vince. I never knew it was a receipt.
R.I.H Virgil, I hope you are at peace.
🙏🙏👏
Everyone passing
He was one of those sidekicks you wanted to hate.
Then he had one of the best face turns in WWE.
RIP Virgil
RIP Virgil / Mike Jones. Many great memories.
Every sauce has gotta price.
Him breaking away from Ted DiBiase and earning his freedom could’ve and should’ve elevated him to main event status, but unfortunately he just didn’t have what it took to make it.
Anyone else say "who?" when they kept saying Mike Jones? Lol.
My favorite Virgil moment and meme, from WWF Survivor Series 1992 – OSW Review 72 – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXYljgNOJp4
Bobby's comments about Virgil on t.v used to kill me 😂
The Iron Chef line is "If memory serves me right…"
Met Virgil years ago at a wrestling convention in Toronto. Asked him about his favourite wrestling memory and he replied 'WWF made you and WCW paid you.'
Meat Sauce Mafia!
I wonder if every autograph signing is gonna leave a table empty as a memorial
Damn he can talk. Maybe the best bullshitter I've never known.
Raising a tenner in the air for the original Nogger
RIP Michael Jones (AKA) Virgil
I saw Virgil at Whitemarsh Mall in Md. He was super chill. We talked about random shit. He kept bragging about being paid to just sit there
You guys smooth transition to ad copy is priceless.
