  1. Hell if he's half serious, maybe Green Bay should consider it.

Green Bay doesn't have a real reason to keep him and if the Jets want a new QB, especially to develop their younger QB, this would be a decent move maybe even good.

At the bere minimum, it gives the Green Bay room to breathe money cap wise.

    This could be interesting.

  3. Only reason Aaron would do it would be to give a gift of 2 first rounds to Green Bay to think that division let alone that conference but we all know Aaron doesn’t care about winning so why tf would the jets want him makes zero sense

  4. What all jets fans are ignoring is it would take a blockbuster trade including David Bakhtiari to get Aaron to leave Green Bay and that will cost you more than 2 picks. You would also have to sign Mercedes Lewis and Allen Lazard to make him a Jet. I just doubt it. I highly doubt it. However the Packers have Jordan Love who is pretty ready to go you do not sign someone to 60 million and then walk one year later. Especially when that person is Aaron Charles Rodgers.

  5. The Jets will not be spending an outrageous amount for Rodgers. Rodgers is not 'owed' $60m next year as a huge part of that was signing bonus, already paid. The actual cap hit for the Jets would be $15 to $16m for next year. Green Bay would accelerate the signing bonus into next year and face a cap hit of roughly $40m if Rodgers is traded (dead money). GB can ameliorate the issue by trading after Jun1, where they can spread the $40m over the next two years. The basic issue is mixing up cap $$ with actual expended $$ in this discussion.

  6. After one season that trade would feel a lot like the Russell Wilson trade. Also, AR is too soft and sensitive to handle the environment there. He’ll need multiple therapists and yoga camps about 3 weeks in.

  7. Teams put out fake headlines and misdirection plays and smoke-and-mirrors all the time. That said, I would not put it past Woody Johnson, who is concerned with making headlines more than having a good football team, to pull off this move.

Remember the Jets are the same team that signed an over-the-hill Favre; traded for the Walking Media Circus known as Tim Tebow; and got themselves an aging, past-his-prime, prima donna Running Back in LeVeon Bell. Like I said, chasing headlines comes first.
