  1. Can you please get the publishing rights for his other documentary, about Convoy PQ-17!
It's phenomenal and such a tragic shame that the only place you can currently find it is on dailymotion! It deserves to be seen my all on this platform

  2. "The world's highest award for valor"? What, they give away the Congressional Medal of Honor to shirkers and lackies? Like to see any other that's decorated his chest like Audie Murphy. The "highest"? What's that mean: bravest, hardest to get by ratio of those who served? Worn above the others on the shirt? What a slam on Medal of Honor winners. No article I've retrieved suggests the VC is "above" the Medal of Honor: except yours.
You say 1,500 out of tens of millions: the MO 3,500 out of 45 million. So is the VC harder to get? or are Americans braver? Prove it before you state a "fact".

  3. I'm not a fan of Clarkson, but his narration of these real life stories is excellent. Enough about him, it is the Tommies that deserve all the admiration in this episode. Proper people.
Edit: in case anyone thinks I'm a "Nigel" fan, I include the Ghukas, the Polish pilots, the Canadians, the Indians, and the Aussies as Tommies.

  4. Very similar to the Congressional Medal of Honor here in the United States. That was created during the American Civil War. Often it is awarded postumouly. That is awarded for valor in a sense. Never for taking lives but chiefly for saving lives. It's a medal no American soldier wants because most likely you are dead. I'm a veteran and I have lost many friends and family members. Some died in action. Some died from Agent Orange later on. My grandfather was 3rd Wave Omaha Beach. He drank heavily when he got home. My uncle lost his leg and life in 1995 from wounds he got in Nam in 1968. I go to the VA and sometimes I wish I didn't see so much. Sad how men kill each other year after year…. century after century. Sad. The beat goes on.
