You miss the point. For Jeremy Hunt, destroying the NHS was his proudest achievement. These people are sociopaths.

Unfortunately Jeremy Hunt is one of those Tory dinosaurs who think they can cut funding and regulation and everything will somehow miraculously improve despite all the now overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Hunt, like Cameron and Osborne, were determined to shrink the state, using austerity as the means to achieve this objective. This is all driven by the extreme Free Market Capitalist ideology, which wants to see everything owned by billionaire shareholders – the NHS especially. Thatcher already put Water and Energy into the hands of private investors – and look at the result.
We now have raw sewage being pumped into our rivers and coasts on a daily basis. We have energy wholesale companies acting in tandem to massively increase energy prices, using the conflict in Ukraine as a pretext for so doing. And we have a government entriely compliant with the billionaire oligarchy, who even now are ignoring the plight of low and medium wage earners struggling to survive and having to use food banks despite being in full-time employment.
We have wages of the same low level as we had during the Napoleonic Wars, whilst at the same time the top 100 companies in the FTSE 100 have, since 2019, increased their profits by a massive 73%.
This government IS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.
