So jack Depending on the format Commander's main rule is 100 cards no duplicates other than your basic lands (mountains, islands, plains, etc.) they all have to be the same color as your commander which has to be a legendary Creature/Plainswalker. So pretty much build your deck around a specific creature type or theme you want to do, personally I run an Artifact deck that play around Breya, Etherium Shaper which is a Legendary Artifact Creature.
