Great show for real, I'm curious about those inserts. I just put cushcore on my trail bike with some Vittoria's 🤙
Had an IXF for almost 3 years now, is still good, I think is now on my gravel bike
12:20 what material are those ball bearings?
The impressive part to me still is the price you can get these at and they can handle quite a bit of abuse….. Hard to beat these for the price. Definitely a cracked bearing…. The fun part would be to buy a new bearing and swap it out and see how long you can keep it going for!
weve been using that IXF crankset here in the philipoines… we called it the national crankset coz its cheap… 😊😊😊😊
Did the replacement BB have aluminum or plastic spacer rings? Glad to see you could reuse the crank, nice color, and that the frame threads were undamaged!
looking forward to see a review of those tire inserts
Not 100% sure , but im think those IXF cranks are 24mm like the shimano standard , and you may be able to use a generic shimano acera/deore bottom bracket for $30. I have a deore bottom bracket that's over 6000km on it right now.
Yooo cannondale bbs blow out three times as much with nowhere the abuse you put that thing through
Is their a hole drilled in the bottom bracket? If not, drill one so water can escape that is likely coming in from the seat post and working its way into the bearings.
Ixf cranks and shimano bb52 bottom bracket. That what i suggest to everybody who is just starting with the hollo crank stuff. Ixf bb bearings are so crappy. BB52 shimano BB is pretty cheap, same bearings as the shimano saint, same bearings as the shimano zee. UCI dowhill proof bottom brackets. But cheap. Still a part of the budget built parts. 💪
Honestly they are pretty bullet proof. I swap out the bottom bracket for a xt bottom bracket for like $20 on Amazon and makes it ride much much better.
I killed one out of the three IFX cranks I had over the last four years. Good luck with the other two and lots of miles. Sticking with SLX now.
Shimano bottom brackets are like $15 to 20 on Amazon. I recommend the deore or xt bottom bracket.
At the shop we call the Cush core tire lever the Butt Plug
I still have my from 2 years ago and still working good. Have a great day guy's
Had issues with the shaft was too small and engagement of the splines was bad. First time in Moab and other one on local trail. Got lucky I was about to hit some jumps. The none drive side crank fell off both times. I got pictures that I can send.
I've not replaced the cranks YET on my Walgoose Ledge X1… already have the bottom bracket…but looking good for a good deal on a rear WTB st i30 27.5 wheel and wanna match the 29 wheel I got up front. (Going mullet!) Still haven't replaced the rear suspension yet either…in time… Glad the cranks themselves are good still. Was curious…why need the spacers at all? Will the front sprocket hit the frame if the number of teeth too much? Or is it to bring the front gear more midline with the rear gearing? I may be answering my own question here… 😂
I've tried the ixf cranks and I never use the bb which is supplied with it ..the only problem I find with the cranks is there's no quality control in the production
I got a brand new ixf crankset on my gt avalanche and its smooth but a little stiff thinking about awapping the bottom bracket out for a shimano bb
I’m not sure clamping the bike in the stand by the dropper post is a great idea.
Glad it finally arrived. I think you'll love it make sure you scan the qr code and watch the video as it works slightly different from regular tyre levers. And as always F U Tick 😜
My ixf has been great, I guess everything has its limits, but considering the price I don't think you can complain.
Man gummy worm is a great looking bike, one of the best!
Take care my friends 😎🍻👍
Love you guys… I lost my dad 3 years ago.. we worked together (construction) for 50 years…. Treasure every moment!
I appreciate y'all show and I appreciate how you have respect for each other it can be hard for family to you guys don't do like the other channels in are all your dirty if you know what I mean I appreciate that
I use spacers on the axle instead for the bb
Any chance you guy have a link to replacement upgraded bearings?
This channel Rocks 🤘
I've got the same crank not IXF but generic crank same category bought mine for $28 including the chainring. And Yes I can confirm bearings are the downsides, changed mine to a 6805 ABEC rated and it's the best thing, the funny thing is the bearing's price is like almost half of the crank's price.
Thoses cranks will have a bad chainline with boost rear hub. 10-11-12 speed. And adding 2 botttom bracket shims there is not much crank spline engaged on the other side
The father needs to calm the fuck down!
I still have my iXF crankset on my Aggressor pro. I just recently put a 11-50T 1×9 groupset on it. Haven't tried it yet.
I can't believe after all this time, Labron Photo has not yet claimed that domain name. 😂
Yes 🎉Finally You Clamped it right!!!
I swear to God every time the kid touches or does a evaluation on a piece of kit ie IXF Cranks your full of shit it usually mean the kid fucks it up I’ve been using IXF Cranks FOREVER and there being sold by everyone you screwed it up kid some how I don’t know
how your daddy puts up with you in you’re not a professional
IT WAS IN YOUR HAND!!!!! 😂😂 the openings to these videos are the best!
When are you guys gunna come to the UK 🇬🇧
They are soft aluminum cranks. I have had customers cranks bend and break on basic XC rides.
