  1. The impressive part to me still is the price you can get these at and they can handle quite a bit of abuse….. Hard to beat these for the price. Definitely a cracked bearing…. The fun part would be to buy a new bearing and swap it out and see how long you can keep it going for!

  2. Not 100% sure , but im think those IXF cranks are 24mm like the shimano standard , and you may be able to use a generic shimano acera/deore bottom bracket for $30. I have a deore bottom bracket that's over 6000km on it right now.

  3. Is their a hole drilled in the bottom bracket? If not, drill one so water can escape that is likely coming in from the seat post and working its way into the bearings.

  4. Ixf cranks and shimano bb52 bottom bracket. That what i suggest to everybody who is just starting with the hollo crank stuff. Ixf bb bearings are so crappy. BB52 shimano BB is pretty cheap, same bearings as the shimano saint, same bearings as the shimano zee. UCI dowhill proof bottom brackets. But cheap. Still a part of the budget built parts. 💪

  5. Honestly they are pretty bullet proof. I swap out the bottom bracket for a xt bottom bracket for like $20 on Amazon and makes it ride much much better.

  6. Had issues with the shaft was too small and engagement of the splines was bad. First time in Moab and other one on local trail. Got lucky I was about to hit some jumps. The none drive side crank fell off both times. I got pictures that I can send.

  7. I've not replaced the cranks YET on my Walgoose Ledge X1… already have the bottom bracket…but looking good for a good deal on a rear WTB st i30 27.5 wheel and wanna match the 29 wheel I got up front. (Going mullet!) Still haven't replaced the rear suspension yet either…in time… Glad the cranks themselves are good still. Was curious…why need the spacers at all? Will the front sprocket hit the frame if the number of teeth too much? Or is it to bring the front gear more midline with the rear gearing? I may be answering my own question here… 😂

  8. My ixf has been great, I guess everything has its limits, but considering the price I don't think you can complain.

Man gummy worm is a great looking bike, one of the best!

    Take care my friends 😎🍻👍

  10. I've got the same crank not IXF but generic crank same category bought mine for $28 including the chainring. And Yes I can confirm bearings are the downsides, changed mine to a 6805 ABEC rated and it's the best thing, the funny thing is the bearing's price is like almost half of the crank's price.
