A financial tsunami is coming as 20 million Americans are about to get a “final notice” from their utility company. There’s a record $16 billion in unpaid energy bills stacking up at a time when the Fed is about to hike rates again which will send the economy spiraling into a global recession.

  1. The main reason that no one is talking about, is that boomers are retiring and the generations coming up behind them only make up 1/3 of their consumption!

    Look up Peter Zeihan!
By 2025 we will be in a hyperinflation/Depression.

  2. How are you 3k behind like I had to stop going out and buckle down and still have yet to fall behind in bills. LIke the issue isn't making money is managing money at this point no financial education growing up leads to this exact situation Q a depression.

  3. We are using the price mechanism to balance supply and demand.

This means the poor have to go without.

This then balances supply and demand.

In four decades, we never did work out what the price mechanism actually does.

The truth is revealed at last.

  4. Interesting. The Public Utility Commissions are not going to let privately owned utilities cut off the power to consumers, so investors are going to take the loss, while the power continues to flow. Public-owned utilities, such as water, will not have the political will to make debtors pay the bills, so the tax payers will have to pay the bill. Municipal bonds that were let to pay for infrastructure could be in trouble. This could be a very big issue.

  5. Funny how energy supply and prices changed with a new administration. Couldn't have planned it any better. Those who survive this will be hit with massive electric retrofits as other sources are banned.

  6. I wonder if they have smart phones and beer to drink? What have they done to improve themselves instead of going to the local bar or entertainment on the weekends?

  7. I'd love to know how inflation will go significantly lower when the main driver is energy prices and the supply of NGas remains tight, globally? So the consumer stops buying, spurring businesses to lower prices, but with high input costs due to high energy costs they'd have to sell at a loss, wouldn't they? This could cause businesses to fail! The more businesses fail, the tighter the supply of goods becomes, which is inflationary. No?

  8. People are going broke because they punt and spend on everything like no tomorrow.
They don't realize the importance of sitting firmly on sh!tloads of cash to prepare for any emergency. 🤣🙃🤣

  9. Notice the grocery stores are loaded with food. Even extra pallets of products setting everywhere, but few customers and most people buying very little. I buy the few things I find on sale. Looks like people are leaving all the overpriced junk set there. Good! If they want to sell things they can lower the prices.

  10. Looks like the crooked utility company's need to get a pencil somewhere and figure out how to lower their outrageous rates or they are just going to be out of business.

  11. Always good to hear your thoughtful and logical analysis. I don't care about bullish or bearish market. Trade a small percentage of your portfolio rather than going in and out every couple weeks trying to time the market trading went smooth for me as I was able to raise over 8.4 BTC when I started at 3 BTC in just few weeks implementing Lucas Benjamin and tips..

  12. I don’t care about other people not being able to pay their electric bills, it’s not my problem.

Most but not all of those millions of people put themselves in those positions. They spent their money on things that are not necessary like drugs alcohol tobacco new vehicles in new homes new clothing new furniture new electronics.

Imagine how much money could’ve been saved and now be used to pay the electric bill I am Magine at least half of those people could easily afford their electric bill they just choose to be irresponsible that’s the keyword here your responsibility so don’t have any pity on them. The ones you should have pity on are the ones that have situation that are not in their control.

I find it funny that a lot of people like to say why I wasn’t expecting this to happen that’s called your responsibility you should always expect something to happen during the good times and the bad times.

On the bright side with that many fewer people without electricity maybe the cost will come down for the rest of us ha ha
